Day 1: Cairo

Welcome to Egypt and the start of your Egyptian adventure! Arrive Cairo, included airport transfer to hotel

Day 2: Cairo

Today, we visit Giza Plateau, where we explore the pyramids and Sphinx. It is estimated Cheops (the largest of the pyramids) was constructed from no less than 2.5million quarried limestone blocks, weighing around 6 million tonnes. Later we explore Saqqara - an ancient necropolis with many half-buried tombs and the famous Zhoser's step pyramid.

Day 3: Cairo - Bahariyya Oasis

Free morning, opt for our city tour or just relax until our drive to Bahariyya.

Day 4: Bahariyya Oasis - White Desert

We check out Bahariyya - an ancient oasis. Continuing by 4 x 4, we visit the Temple of Alexander the Great, Tombs of the Nobles and the Black Desert, as we push towards the White Desert. So named, as the sand resembles snow, the striking White Desert is full of unusual wind-eroded limestone formations and our remote overnight base.

Day 5: White Desert - Dakhla Oasis

We drive to Farafra oasis, where we can enjoy a dip in the natural springs. Continuing to Dakhla, a true highlight is the medieval city of Al Qasr. Only recently abandoned, we wander through the eerie high walled city. Many of the houses here have acacia wood lintels above the doorways. We continue onto Deir al-Haggar, the Roman Temple dedicated to the Theban Triad.

Day 6: Dakhla Oasis - Luxor

Leaving Dakhla Oasis, we continue to Kharga to visit the Temple of Hibis and the rambling 4th century necropolis of al-Bagawat, before heading onto Luxor and checking into our hotel.

Day 7: Luxor - Nile Cruising

Today we travel by train south to Aswan. After cruise boat check-in we visit the High Dam and travel by boat to the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis.

Day 8: Nile Cruising

Relax on the sun deck and enjoy the spectacular views and great facilities and service on board as the cruiser plies its course. Today you will disembark for a visit to The Temple of Kom Ombo which is dedicated to two gods, Sobek the crocodile God and Harveris the Sun God.

Day 9: Nile Cruising

Continuing on toward Luxor stopping at Edfu en route for guided sightseeing later this afternoon you will arrive in to Luxor and when dusk draws near we will take you sightseeing to the Luxor Temple, Beautifully illuminated at night enjoy guided sightseeing and photo opportunities you will allways remember!!

Day 10: Nile Cruising - Luxor

At over 4,000 years old, Luxor is a living museum. We tour the East Bank, taking in the Temple of Luxor - built by Pharaoh Amenophis III and the magnificent Temple of Karnak. More than a temple, it’s a gigantic and stunning complex of sanctuaries and pylons dedicated to the Theban gods.

Day 11: Luxor - Cairo

An early start today as we venture to the striking Valley of the Kings. (Optional hot air ballooning prior to Valley of the Kings tour). Highlights of our visit include the Colossi of Memnon, the legendary Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. We will then transfer you to the train station for the overnight train to Cairo.

Day 12: Cairo

Arrive and hotel check in. Later we enjoy a guided visit to the Egyptian Museum. See the famous Tutankhamen solid gold death mask or opt to see the Royal Mummy Room, if you dare. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore Cairo your way.

Day 13: Cairo

We will transfer you to the airport in time for your departure flight today.
