Harbin Ice Festival - Harbin

Harbin Ice Festival - Harbin

Marvel at the ice sculptures at the annual Harbin Ice Festival. International teams work around the clock to turn the festival grounds into a winter wonderland with massive snow and ice sculptures in an event that dates back to the 1960s.

Some of the ice sculptures at Harbin stand over six metres tall, and in previous years sculptors have built a Great wall of China, complete with big dipper slippery slide and the Emperor's Summer Palace with forts and towers to climb along. The town gets festive with thousands of coloured lights and the Ice World Theme Park.
