Christmas in the Kremlin - Moscow

Yuletide concerts with strong traditional Orthodox themes are held at the Kremlin building during the period leading up to Russian Orthodox Christmas.

The official Kremlin Christmas Tree arrives in Moscow to great fanfare, with throngs of people dancing around the streets and a fireworks display to boot. The ancient fir tree typically stands around 30 meters high and is decked out with more than 1100 meters of lights.
