Moscow City Day (Den' Goroda)

Muscovites celebrate the founding of the city with festivities, street parties and live music on Red Square on the first weekend of September every year. And the best part? It’s a free festival!

Starting off with a festive parade, enjoy food, festivities and a fireworks show to celebrate the founding of the city. See dance troupes and folk singers perform during the day as well. Cars are banished from the streets for the day, so it's a good time to see a Moscow from a totally different perspective. Top tip: look out for the free concert on Tverskaia Street!
