Commemorating the defeat of Nazi Germany in WWII, Victory Day celebrations take place in Red Square, Moscow.

The most important of Russia’s secular holidays, Victory Day includes a parade, displaying Russia’s considerable military might, and gives Russians a chance to remember the 26 million Soviets who died during the conflict, known in Russia as the Great Patriotic War. See the military parade, ceremonies and fireworks in Red Square.
