Bhutan Tours

Since opening its doors to the western world in 1974, Bhutan’s spectacular scenery and hospitable charm has been luring intrepid travellers hungry for adventure. In many ways enigmatic Bhutan remains untouched by the modern world, with an ethos of preserving its ancient culture and natural environment. The Bhutanese culture is deeply rooted in its Buddhist beliefs – fluttering prayer flags, chortens and white washed fortresses abound.

Highlights of our Bhutan Tours

Take a walk on the spiritual side in unspoiled Bhutan, an enchanting kingdom offering a wealth of spectacular sights and unique experiences, on one of our private tours. The capital since the mid-20th century, Thimpu is a friendly city and the ideal place to get an overall feel for the Bhutanese way of life. Dominated by the Tashichoe Dzong, Thimpu is also home to the king’s headquarters and the world’s highest golf course.

Surrounded by a patchwork of rice paddies, scattered settlements and mountain streams, ancient Paro is a picturesque town in one of Bhutan’s most beautiful valleys. Highlights here include Rinpung Dzong for the National Museum and the spectacular Tiger’s Nest Monastery, precariously perched on a cliff face towering above the Paro Valley.

The former capital of Bhutan, Punakha features some of the most impressive architecture in all of Bhutan. These include the Punakha Dzong, situated at the confluence of two rivers; it is breathtaking from the outside and houses some of Bhutan’s most sacred relics. Trongsa, home to Bhutan’s first monastery, is also well worth exploring. This small, but historic town is easy to cover on foot and boasts a wealth of colour statues, temples, towers and spectacular Himalayan scenery.
