India's famous Golden Triangle comprises of the three most visited cities in the country - Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Dubbed "golden" for the extraordinary amount of culture and history on offer in each of the three cities, a first time visit to India simply must include the Golden Triangle.
At Agra, we visit the famous Taj Mahal and Agra Fort and in Jaipur, the Amber Fort and City Palace are key highlights. Between Agra and Jaipur lies ghostly Fateh Pur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal captial, which is also incldued on all our tours of the Golden Triangle. The incredible 9th century Chand Baori step well (the largest and deepest in the world) in Abhaneri village is one of India’s often-overlooked landmarks, but it’s proximity to Jaipur makes it easy to visit on some of our Golden triangle tours too.
All our group tours to India incldue the Golden triangle and we offer a number of extensions to the Golden Triangle too – be it a week in the tropical south in Goa or Kerala, to go in search of the elusive tiger at Ranthambhore, up to the colonial climes of the pretty hill station of Shimla or on to the forts and deserts of legendary Rajasthan. If you would rather travel on a private tour of the Golden Triangle, choose from one of our set private tour itineraries, or if these do not fit the bill, we'd be happy to tailor-make a tour of the Golden Triangle for you too.
