The tour was extremely well organised and everything fitted into place perfectly. The tour squeezed in a lot in a very short time, which made it eventually quite tiring, but that was what we had signed up for and so we have no complaints on that score. The accommodation and meals provided were always of a very good standard and the value for money of the tour was amazing - even without the special deal that we took advantage of. Transfers, internal transport and provision of guides all worked seamlessly. Finally, both our guides, Anup (in Shimla) and Yusuf (for the Golden Triangle) were excellent: knowledgeable, helpful, supportive and reliable at all times. Our drivers: Shashi in Shimla and Mr Singh on the Golden Triangle were also really good, as was Mr Singh's assistant Samendra. Thank you very much for a wonderful 11 days.”
This was an amazing tour where we not only saw the tourist attractions, which were out of this world, but also the real India. Our tour guide went out of his way to show us the local villages, took us to a brick factory and also to a private school as well as a government funded school so we could see the comparisons.
Our tour guide Yogi went above and beyond his duties as a tour guide as we had difficulty changing money which he made phone calls and had someone come to the hotel to help us. He even gave us some money until we were able to sort.
The information that Yogi passed onto us about his country was brilliant and helped pass the time on the long coach journeys between cities.
Overall, the tour and the tour guide were outstanding. Thank you for an amazing holiday with fabulous memories.”
Satendra was the best tour leader I have ever had, told me so much about his country, he also shared personal info about him which he didn't have to do. ”
Tour was amazing! Highlights were lunch in Jaipur at the stone oven place with the Turban museum and Taj! Yusuf was a great tour guide, friendly and professional allowing us enough time to explore aswell as rest! He made me feel safe amongst the hustle and bustle of locals in the cities. He also shared personal stories with us which really helped us understand indian culture.
I would not recommend going to the elephant village a lot of the group did not enjoy this as elephants were chained up and some being hit on the head with a wooden pole! :(
I wouldnt recommend the bird sanctuary in March as it was pretty empty as the birds have migrated back home. We only saw ducks and 2 other types of bird. Im not a bird fanatic but i would like to have seen more birds considering we spent a couple of hours there,
Hotels were great other than the hotel in Bharatpur i felt this hotel was quite dirty and unhygenic and it was after lunch here that a group of us felt ill at first. The only negative i have to say about the hotels is the electronic sockets. They just didnt work 80% of the time meaning we couldnt charge cameras.
I would definitely recommend the Taj Traveller tour :) ”
Yogi was an excellent and passionate tour guide. He clearly loves his country and excels at sharing this enthusiasm with us on this tour. The Taj Express tour is a great introduction to northern India because a lot is experienced over the week. ”
I really enjoyed the tour! It exceeded all my expectations. The hotels were clean, modern and very nice. The houseboat was also much more comfortable than I had expected. The tour was just the right mix of activities and relaxation. The things were visited were interesting, and our guide was very knowledgeable. The On The Go staff really went the extra mile, arranging a separate car to take me to the airport because i had a late flight, and then having someone meet me at the airport to help me with mu luggage and to navigate the check in. My arrival flight was eight hours late, but they still had a driver waiting for me when i arrived. I would definitely use the company again!”
