This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. This afternoon why not further enhance your exploration of this busting city with an afternoon guided journey through the New Delhi area the highlights will include India gate a drive past parliamentary buildings and President's house, a guided visit to Humayun's tomb then concluding with sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub minar. As Delhi really is not a place for relaxing we recommend to have a relaxing stay in more rural surroundings and Rawla Narlai is a perfect option for this. Morning you fly to Udaipur, arriving here our friendly local driver and rep will assist and then drive you 3 hours into stunning rural Rajhastan and you accommodations.
This 17th century fortress was once a favourite hunting lodge of the Jodhpur Royal Family and is now a cozy hotel, owned by a branch of the Jodhpur Royal Family. Today our driver will drive you to Jaipur - this a relatively long drive and along the way the driver will make stops to show you interesting sites and a spot of lunch in the town of Ajmer. Arriving into Jaipur you will check into your hotel situated in the smaller village of Samode around 40 KM from the hustle and bustle of the town.
This morning you will have to look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. This afternoon perhaps opt for a journey of discovery through the historic pink city of Jaipur we start with a photo stop in front of Jal mahal (lake palace) thereafter visit the ancient astronomical observatory of Jantar mantar and thereafter a guided tour of the city palace complex and it’s fascinating nooks and crannies. The city is fantastic for shopping, so today and tomorrow in your free time, why not head into town and buy some gorgeous Rajasthani textiles, pottery and more.
This morning we will drive to Agra, along the way we will stop for an interesting tour of the ghostly former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned due to lack of water. arriving into Agra enjoy time for lunch. Later we visit Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! This evening conclude your day with a guided tour of the Taj Mahal at sunset.
This morning we will drive back to Delhi airport around 4 hours drive, here you can catch your flight home.
