This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. This afternoon why not further enhance your exploration of this bustling city with an afternoon guided journey through the New Delhi area the highlights will include India gate a drive past parliamentary buildings and President's house, a guided visit to Humayun's tomb then concluding with sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub minar. Today we drive to the Shekhawati region and to the small town of Mandawa. Spend the afternoon exploring the gorgeous historic mansions.
Enjoy the morning and early afternoon to explore Mandawa with all its lovely old buildings and quaint village-like ambiance. Afterwards we drive to Jaipur where on arrival you can relax at the hotel.
This morning you will have to look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. This afternoon we go on a journey of discovery through the historic pink city of Jaipur. We start with a photo stop in front of Jal Mahal (lake palace) and visit the ancient astronomical observatory of Jantar Mantar. Thereafter a guided tour of the city palace complex and its fascinating nooks and crannies.

En route on our drive to Agra, we stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, former imperial capital of the great Mughal emperor Akbar. Built between 1569 and 1585, it has been deserted for more than four centuries, by all accounts abandoned in 1600 due to a meagre supply of water. This evening enjoy a guided sunset tour of the incredible Taj Mahal.
Today enjoy a visit to the impressive Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind its fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! This evening you will travel to Varanasi by sleeper train, a must-do experience for any visitor young or old! The friendly locals will be vying for a chat with you.
Your train arrives into Varanasi in the morning to the start of a new day and the gathering hustle and bustle. Our rep will be waiting for us , but make sure you take a moment to try some chai, hot tea from one of the vendors, before transferring to your hotel. This morning, we enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where we’ll view the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the many riverbank ghats (riverside steps). After breakfast back at your hotel your guide will take you out to the see some of the city important sites and a walk around the markets. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore.
After a leisurely morning in Varanasi we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight back to Delhi (AI 405 - 1550 / 1705). Arriving here, our driver awaits to take you to your hotel.
Today we fly to Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, situated in the northwestern region of India. Upon arrival you'll be met and transferred to your houseboat on Nageen Lake, part of Dal Lake, which will be your home for the next 4 nights. Dal Lake covers an area of 18 square kilometres and is lined with stunning Mughal Gardens, resorts, houseboats and colourful shikaras - the small wooden vessels used to transport almost everything around the lake from goods to people. This evening we will take a ride in a shikara to witness the sunset.
This morning we visit some of the stunning Mughal Gardens that Srinagar is famous for. We visit the terraced Nishat Bagh or Nishat Garden on the eastern side of the lake, Nishat Bagh translates in Hindustani as "Garden of Joy" which is entirely fitting. Later we visit Shalimar Garden, equally as stunning and located on the northeast side of the lake. The gardens are linked to Dal Lake via channel. After our tour the rest of the afternoon is free.
This morning we board one of the colourful shikara to visit the floating gardens, known as "Rad" in Kashmiri, where mounds of earth make for a fascinating display as they protrude from the water topped with all sorts of growing local produce. Tomatoes, cucumbers and melons have been found to grow the best with the constant source of irrigation. Later we visit the Old City of Srinigar, or as it's also known downtown Srinigar, with its winding streets and alleys lined with shops selling and making the finest Kashmari goods. Evening at leisure.

Today is all about nature and enjoying the scenery so sit back and relax and take in the gorgeous surroundings. Departing Srinagar we transfer you to the airport for your flight back to Delhi. Upon arrival transfer to you hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
