The grand entrance into Delhi's famous Red Fort

Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to India! Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. You will have the remainder of the evening at your leisure.

Day 2: Delhi - Chandigarh

This morning after breakfast we have a half day city tour old Delhi taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more. Later this afternoon we head to the airport for your onward flight to Chandigarh. Upon arrival here you will be met and take to your hotel.

Days 3-5: Chandigarh

The remaining couple of days here you have at your leisure to enjoy the wedding festivities.

Day 6: Chandigarh - Agra

This morning after breakfast we head to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival here you will be met and then transferred to Agra. Upon arrival here you will be met and then transferred to your hotel.

Day 7: Agra - Jaipur

This morning Agra, we visit the impressive Agra Fort, which boasts some of India's finest Mughal buildings behind it's fortified walls. Later we travel to the legendary Taj Mahal and witness a magical sunset. Built by Shah Jahan in the 16th century as an enduring memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz. Built entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal has no peers. Later this evening we take the overnight train to Jaipur.

Day 8: Jaipur

Arriving into Jaipur this morning we will transfer you to your hotel. Maybe opt for an early morning balloon flight over the pink city of Jaipur. Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon we tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory before stopping at a cotton weaving house to see a demonstration of fabric dyeing and block printing.

Day 9: Jaipur - Alsisar

Today, we drive to the semi-desert Shekhawati region. The small towns in this region became important trading posts, a lasting legacy of which are the beautiful painted havelis (mansions) constructed by wealthy merchants in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Day 10: Alsisar - Delhi

This morning we make a quick visit the children and teachers at a local school in Alsisar where we operate our ‘Change for Children’ programme, before returning to Delhi. The remainder of the afternoon and evening is free for you to further discover the city. Opt for a meal in the heart of the city or simply relax and chat with group members at the hotel.

Day 11: Delhi

This morning we have another half day tour of Delhi. Going on to Chandi Chowk, one of India’s oldest and busiest markets built. This market is noisy and the smell of different foods wafts around. You’ll get a real insight into authentic India and the traders here still sit on mattresses and show their items one by one, a tradition lost in most Indian markets these days. Lunch could be spent at the Gali Paranthe Wali, a famous street in Chandi Chowk selling tasty paratha (Indian Fried Bread) with chutney and potato curry garnish. The remainder of the day you are free at your own leisure.

Day 12: Delhi

Early this morning we will transfer you back to the airport for your onward flight home.
