Day 1: Delhi
Welcome to India and the start of your adventure with On the Go Tours. We will be there at the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Delhi. After hotel check in and some time to freshen up after your flight, enjoy a guided tour of Old Delhi taking in the sights of Jama Mosque and the Red Fort with time to explore the by-lanes of the old city on a rickshaw.
Day 2: Delhi - Amritsar
It's an early morning departure today as we transfer you to the railway station for your train journey to Amritsar. Arriving at 13:25 you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Later in the evening witness the spectacle of the Wagah border ceremony.
Day 3: Amritsar - Agra
This morning you will have a sightseeing tour of the city, taking in the incredible Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. Built in 1803 and made of marble, copper and pure leaf gold, the Golden Temple is an amazing architectural feat. This evening you will be transferred to the railway station for your overnight train journey to Agra.
Day 4: Agra
Arriving into Agra at 08:30 we will transfer you to your hotel for check in and some time to freshen up after your overnight journey. This afternoon we visit Agra Fort, which during its time has been a military structure, a palace and a prison. At sunset we visit the Taj Mahal - here you will enjoy exploration time and also a guided explanation of this once powerful mogul emperor’s monument to love.
Day 5: Agra - Jaipur
This morning we will take a drive out to the ghostly fortified city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area. Continuing on you will arrive at Jaipur, 'The Pink City'. In the afternoon enjoy some free time to relax.
Day 6: Jaipur
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant. In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the city. Highlights include the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory. This evening you have booked the Dera Amer safari.
Day 7: Jaipur
Today marks the end of touring arrangements with On the Go Tours. After breakfast and hotel out we transfer you by road to Delhi and the airport for your onward departure flight.
