Day 1: Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to New Delhi, the capital city of India and the start of your eye-opening adventure! Our friendly team will be waiting in the arrivals hall to transfer you to your hotel where you can relax for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Delhi

Enjoy a full day with our expert guide exploring Delhi both new and old with visits to the battlemented Red Fort - built by Shah Jahan in the 16th century, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - a marble memorial marking the spot where the great leader- Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination. We also visit Humayun’s Tomb and India's largest mosque, Qutab Minar.

Day 3: Delhi - Amritsar

Enjoy the day at leisure in Delhi. Later, we transfer to the train station to catch the Shatabadi Express - 1730 / 2230 train to Amritsar. Arriving in the PM, meet our local driver who will take you to your hotel. Overnight at the Ramada Amritsar

Day 4: Amritsar

This morning enjoy a visit to the Golden temple which is followed by a sightseeing tour of the city including the Jallianwala Bagh the sobering reminder of some painful history that has taken place here. This afternoon, enjoy a visit to Wagah - the only border crossing between India and Pakistan for the sunset ‘Retreat’ ceremony, where the changing of the guards & ceremonial lowering of the flags is performed with great pomp. Day 6: Amritsar - Agra

This morning we bring you to the station and assist embarking the Shatabadi Express - 0510 / 1130 train back to Delhi. Departing Delhi, we journey 5hrs to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. Arriving here, we conclude our day with a guided tour of the incredible Taj Mahal, which allows free time to take in a perfect sunset.

Day 7: Agra - Jaipur

This morning we explore the Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! After, we drive to Jaipur. En route a stop is made at the fantastically well preserved former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. This magnificent fortified city was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned dramatically due to a lack of water. Explore the various temples, places of worships, pavilions, public areas and examples of everyday living.

Day 8: Jaipur

This morning an exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty 16th century Amber Fort on our morning tour. The afternoon will be spent exploring the City Palace containing an interesting museum of regal attire. Just over the road is Jantar Mantar, an observatory of astronomy built by Jai Singh in 1728. At first glance, Jantar Mantar resembles a sculpture park, though in fact, each construction has a specific scientific purpose. Some measure the positions of stars, whilst others calculate eclipses, the lunar calendar and simply the time of day. Even today, most of the constructions remain accurate!

Day 9: Jaipur

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Jaipur in your own time.

Day 10: Jaipur - Udaipur

Today we continue the journey with catching the JP UDZ EXP -0645 / 1345 train to Udaipur (Seating in 2nd Class AC) Arriving into the romantic city, meet our driver who will bring you to your hotel.

Day 11: Udaipur

This morning enjoy touring the imposing City Palace, a vision in soft yellow stone on the northeast promontory with breathtaking views of the lake. The City Palace is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan which you will see when you head out on your included boat ride on the lake. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore.

Day 12: Udaipur

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore.

Day 13: Udaipur - Delhi

Today you will fly back to Delhi on the flight 9W 0800 / 0925, transfers are organised at both ends, by our friendly local teams.

Day 14: Delhi

Today is a free day for you to explore Delhi or relax by the hotel pool.

Day 15: Delhi

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to Delhi Airport in time for your flight home.
