Today we collect you from Kochi and transfer you to Munnar, about 4.5 hours drive (driver only). Here you will be assisted with check in. Afternoon visit to Tea Plantation & Museum.
Visit Eravikulam National Park - which is a full day excursion (Visit to Eravikulam National Park is on a shared basis using mini vans by park authorities - no provision of jeeps).
A 4 hour drive south to Periyar, South India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary and home to bison, antelopes, sambar, wild boar, birds and even the odd tiger! Kumli, close to the sanctuary and where you will stay, is a pretty little town dotted with small spice and handicraft shops. There is plenty to do in and around Periyar. Evening boat ride on Lake Periyar.
Morning visit to spice and tea plantations. The afternoon is at leisure for independant activities.
Today we drive to Kumakoram. Perched sleepily on the eastern banks of the mighty Lake Vembanad in the heartland of Kerala’s famed backwaters, Kumarakom has changed little since the Middle Ages but for it’s string of exotic resorts, making it the perfect point to explore the backwaters. Although right in the thick of a tangle of lush tropical waterways, Kumarakom is technically an island on Lake Vembanad. Visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary (optional - pay locally).
This morning we journey by road where you will board a traditional Keralan rice boat for a journey through the backwaters in and around Allapuzha (Alleppey). The boat will cross shallow, palm-fringed lakes and cruise along peaceful canals where copra and cashews are loaded onto local boats. The on-board cook will prepare locally-inspired food. Relax, read and catch some sun as the boat plies it’s route.
Disembarking at Allepey today we drive to Kovalam for your relaxing beach stay. Rest of the day at leisure.

Today you transfer about 1 hour to Trivandrum airport for your flight to Mumbai, make your own way bewteen airports for your next flight to Aurangabad. You will be met by our representative and driver on arrival and transferred to your hotel.
In the morning head out to Ellora Caves. Impressive in their own right are the rock-hewn temples and monasteries of Ellora that lie just 30 kms away from Aurangabad City and are the meeting point of the Buddhists, Jains and Hindus. In all, there are 34 elaborate cave temples.
Enjoy an excursion to Ajanta Caves. Nestling in an inner fold of the Sahyadri hills, 100 kms from the city of Aurangabad in the shape of a mammoth horseshoe are the 30 rock-hewn caves of Ajanta, dating from 2nd century B.C. Discovered in 1819, by a group of British Offcers, these startling achievements took around 600 years to create. Carved with little more than a hammer and chisel, Ajanta, once the retreat of the Buddhist monastic orders features several ‘Chaityas’ and Viharas. Afterward transfer to the airport for your flight to Mumbai (estimated arrival 1805), end of arrangements.
