Day 1: Delhi - Varanasi
Welcome to Delhi! Upon you can go to the Premium Plaza for a quick freshen and change before taking your flight departing 10:40 to Varanasi. Upon arrival at approx. 11:55 we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free.
Day 2: Varanasi
This morning, we enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where we’ll view the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the many riverbank ghats (riverside steps). The remainder of the day is free to relax or the opportunity to enhance your holiday and pre-book the 'Buddha in Varanasi' or 'Varanasi up close' optional.
Day 3: Varanasi - Khajuraho
This morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Khajuraho departing approx. 12:30. Upon arrival at approx. 13:20 we will pick you up and enjoy a tour of the Eastern & Western Group of Temples.
Day 4: Khajuraho - Bandhavgarh NP
Today we will transfer you approx. 6 hours to Bandhavgarh. This afternoon enjoy a shared jeep safari.
Day 5: Bandhavgarh NP
Enjoy morning and afternoon shared jeep safari's with lunch back at the hotel.
Day 6: Bandhavgarh NP - Agra
This morning take a shared jeep safari. Later we drive through the local villages to Katni Railway station to board the overnight train to Agra departing approx. 17:20.
Day 7: Agra
Arriving approx. 04:15 we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel (early check-in is not guaranteed and is subject to availability). This morning we visit the impressive Agra Fort before touring the legendary Taj Mahal and witnessing a glorious golden sunset.
Day 8: Agra - Jaipur
Today you will be transferred approx. 5 hours to Jaipur and enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri including the Ruined city, Abundant City Palace, Mosque and Administrative Lay out.
Day 9: Jaipur
This morning we travel beyond Jaipur to the stunning 16th century Amber Fort - a sprawling Rajput concoction which hugs the hill on which it was built and overlooks the hot plains below. We enjoy a stately elephant ride (subject to availability) to the fort proper and tour the fort’s well-preserved interior and grounds. This afternoon is free for you to relax.
Day 10: Jaipur - Bikaner
Early this morning the opportunity to enhance your holiday and pre-book the Balloon over Jaipur optional. Today you will be transferred approx. 6 hours to Bikaner. This afternoon enjoy a city tour including Junagarh Fort and Camel Breeding Farm (only open 3pm - 6pm).
Day 11: Bikaner - Jaisalmer
Today you will be transferred approx. 7 hours to Jaisalmer with the remainder of the day free to relax.
Day 12: Jaisalmer
This morning enjoy a Jaisalmer Fort, Jain temples and the Havelis. This afternoon enjoy a tour of the Sam sand dunes with a short camel ride at sunset.
Day 13: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
Today you will be transferred approx. 6 hours to Jodhpur. This afternoon enjoy a tour of Mehrangarh Fort and Cenotaphs.
Day 14: Jodhpur - Udaipur
Today you will be transferred approx. 6 hours to Udaipur enroute we will visit the the temples at Ranakpur, a small town tucked away in a remote valley and famed for its beautiful 14th century Jain temples.
Day 15: Udaipur
This morning enjoy a half day city tour including the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Shaliyo ki bari Garden and Bharti lok kala Mandal. This afternoon enjoy a shared boat ride on Lake Pichola.
Day 16: Udaipur - Amritsar
This morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Delhi departing approx. 07:40. Upon arrival at approx. 09:20 you will need to transfer independently to take the flight to Amritsar departing approx. 11:00. Upon arrival into Amritsar at approx. 12:10 we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. This evening enjoy an excursion to Wagah border to witness the retreat ceremony.
Day 17: Amritsar
This morning enjoy tour a guided tour of Golden temple and Jallianwala Bagh. This afternoon is free for you to relax or explore independently.
Day 18: Amritsar - Delhi
This morning is free. This afternoon you will be transferred to the train station for your train departing approx. 16:55 to Delhi. Upon arrival at approx. 23:05 we will pick you up from the train station and transfer you to your hotel for the night. Overnight Maidens Hotel or similar.
Day 19: Delhi
Today is free for you to relax or explore independently. Perhaps do a bit of last minute souvenir shopping or pre-book the New Delhi optional. Overnight Maidens Hotel or similar.
