Day 1: Mumbai

Namaste! Welcome to India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.

Day 2: Mumbai

Enjoy a half day sightseeing tour one of the most highly populated cities in the world, accommodating approximately 18 million people! Highlights include the Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India, Marine drive, Mani Bhavan, Dhobi Talao, the Hanging Gardens and Crawford Market.

Day 3: Mumbai

Free day. If you would like guided sightseeing today, why not add on our excursion to Elephanta Caves. The rock-cut temples on peaceful Elephanta Island are thought to have been carved between 450 and 750 AD. The main cave contains large sculpted panels, including an astonishing 18-foot depiction of Shiva. See Enhance Your Holiday page for details.


Day 4: Mumbai - Delhi

We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Delhi. On arrival we will check you into the hotel. Our guided sightseeing tour of Delhi today covers the colourful chaos of Old Delhi. During the 16th and 17th centuries, Delhi was important centre of the Mughal dynasty and the British made it the capital city in 1911. We take in Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk, the bustling bazaar, as well as the Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana – the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawahar Lal Nehru.

Day 5: Delhi

Day 6: Delhi - Agra

An early morning start we will drive to Agra - home of India's famous attraction - the Taj Mahal. Upon arrival we will have a sightseeing tour to the Agra Fort, before watching the sun set on the Taj Mahal itself.

Day 7: Agra - Bangalore

Today we rise early to see the Taj Mahal in its ethereal morning light - quite a contrast to sunset on our previous visit. Later today we take the drive back to Delhi and transfer you to the airport for the flight to Bangalore. On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 8: Bangalore

Bangalore with its salubrious climate, tree-lined avenues, trendy downtown, and the software flood, Bangalore truly offers one a picture of striking contrasts. There are old beautiful bungalows, parks, hallowed places of worship and traditional market-places on the one hand, balancing with fashionable shopping malls, pubs, new architectural wonders and modern looking religious centres on the other. Enjoy a half day of sightseeing. Highlights include Vidhana Souda and Cubon Park.

Day 9: Bangalore - Kochi

We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Kochi. On arrival in Kochi we will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 10: Kochi - Alleppey

Today after breakfast, you will drive to Alleppey to embark your houseboat for an overnight stay. Kettuvallams, the stitched boats provide the best way to experience the colourful backwaters of Kerala. A sojourn in Kettuvallam, the House boat of Kerala, offers a panoramic view of one of the most picturesque aspects of the God's Own Country. You will cruise through the palm-fringed backwaters, throughout a night in waxing moonlights.

Day 11: Alleppey - Chennai

After breakfast, you'll disembark from the houseboat and be transferred to your hotel in Kochi. This afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the town including the Synagogue, Dutch Palace and St Francis' Church. We will then transfer you to the airport for the flight to Chennai. On arrival we will check you into the hotel.

Day 12: Chennai

This morning you enjoy a half days sightseeing of Chennai. Sightseeing will include the Government Museum, Santhome Cathedral Church, Kapaleshwara Temple and Marina Beach.

Day 13: Chennai

Today, we visit Kanchipuram, one of sacred cities in India plus also the seaside town of Mahabalipuram, famous for its shore temple. The city is also famous for handwoven silk. In Mahabalipuram, the huge rock-cut sculptures and mandapams (pillared pavilions) date from the 5th to 8th centuries.

Day 14: Chennai - Mumbai

Free morning. In the afternoon we transfer you to the airport for the flight to Mumbai. On arrival we will check you into the hotel.

We will transfer you to the airport in time for your departure flight.
