Welcome to India and the start of your amazing adventure. We'll be there at the Delhi international airport to greet you and transfer you to Agra. After arrival and hotel check in, enjoy some time to freshen up before we visit the legendary Taj Mahal for a special sunset.
This morning we visit the Agra Fort built under the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 that contains numerous palaces and a white marble mosque and the Baby Taj. We then return back to Delhi for our 17:00 flight to Goa. On arrival we will collect you and drop you at your hotel where the remainder of the evening can be spent at leisure.
Welcome to the palm-fringed shores of Goa. A one time Portuguese colony, Goa is truly a trpical paradise. Leave the world behind as you watch the sun set over the Arabian sea, sample fresh food and seafood, swim in Goa's warm waters, shop in the local markets or simply soak up the sun!
Free morning until we transfer you to the airport for the 13:40 flight to Bangalore. On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel.
Bangalore with its salubrious climate, tree-lined avenues and trendy downtown offers one a picture of striking contrasts. There are old beautiful bungalows, parks, hallowed places of worship and traditional market-places on the one hand, balancing with fashionable shopping malls, pubs, new architectural wonders and modern looking religious centres on the other. Enjoy a day of sightseeing. Highlights include Vidhana Souda and Cubon Park.
After breakfast we transfer to the airport for a morning flight to Kochi, a living homage to a varied colonial past. On arrival we transfer to Alleppey where we board a traditional houseboat and cruise the glorious Keralan backwaters. The on board cook will prepare delicious meals from local ingredients while you relax under the sun and watch the world go by. Tonight will be spent on board.
Today we disembark from the houseboat and transfer to Kovalam Beach, a lovely slice of sand and perfectly swaying palms. The rest of the day is free for you to relax - head down to the beach for a spot of swimming or lounge in the sun and catch up with a good book.
The next 2 days are free for you to enjoy at leisure. Stroll for miles along white palm fringed sandy beaches, try sampling the local seafood and sipping cocktails on your sun lounger - it's the perfect way to unwind.
After breakfast we transfer to the airport in Trivandrum for your flight to Mumbai. On arrival we transfer to your hotel. Later in the afternoon we enjoy a sightseeing tour of this pulsating city, famous for the Bollywood film industry. Highlights of the tour include the Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India and Marine drive.
This morning after breakfast we take the cruise to visit Elephanta caves - Mumbai's premier tourist attraction. The rock-cut temples on peaceful Elephanta Island are thought to have been carved between 450 and 750 AD. The main cave contains large sculpted panels, including an astonishing 18-foot depiction of Shiva.
We will transfer you to the airport in time for your departure flight.
