Enjoy a cruise to the Elephanta caves in the morning. The island of Elephanta is about 10 kms from Mumbai. The 4 rock-cut temples are believed to have been cut between 450-750AD. Morning visit to Golconda Fort, a ruined city and former capital of the ancient Kingdom of Golkonda that dates back to the 13th Century. Also, a half day city tour including a visit to the Birla Venkateshwara Temple built in 1976, the views are excellent. The Charminar, or four towers built in 1591, which is surrounded by bustling bazaars housing Hyderabad’s pearl traders. Hyderabad is the centre of India’s pearl trade.
