The grand entrance into Delhi's famous Red Fort

Day 1: Delhi

Upon arrival into Delhi, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to the Taj Mahal Palace. Half day sightseeing tour of Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort (closed Monday's), Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and a bicycle rickshaw ride in Old Delhi. Own accommodation arrangements.

Day 2: Delhi - Udaipur

This morning, we enjoy a New Delhi sightseeing tour including the Government Buildings, India Gate, Qutab Minar and Himayuns Tomb. Transfer from the Taj Mahal Palace to the airport. Own flight arranged. Transfer from Udaipur airport to the Taj Lake Palace. An oasis of cool, with its massive lake and Venetian-like appearance, Udaipur is one of the most romantic towns in Rajasthan. A favourite amongst travellers, Udaipur is crammed full of palaces and temples. Own accommodation arrangements.

Day 3: Udaipur

Today, we enjoy a full day excursion to Kumbalgarh Fort and Ranakpur Jian Temples. Own accommodation arrangements.

Day 4: Udaipur - Baroda

Half day sightseeing tour of Udaipur including the imposing City Palace, Jagdish Temple located in the City Palace and one of the famous temples of Udaipur and Sahaliyon Ki Badi courtyard and gardens of the Maidens. Departure transfer from the Taj Lake Palace to the train station. Train no. 22902 Udaipur to Vadodara Air/con sleeper depart UDZ 17th Jan 21:35 arrive BRC 7:35 on 18th Jan. Own arrangements.

Day 7: Baroda - Mumbai

Arrive Mumbai. You will be met and transferred to the Taj Mahal Palace. The Mumbai Dhobi Ghats are considered the world’s largest outdoor laundry here the people (Dhobis) whom live in the slums surrounding it launder the linen for hospitals and hotels from all over Mumbai. This is seriously a fascinating insight into the sheer ingenuity of the poorer people in Mumbai. Own accommodation arrangements.

Day 8: Mumbai

Enjoy a cruise to the Elephanta caves in the morning. The island of Elephanta is about 10 kms from Mumbai. The 4 rock-cut temples are believed to have been cut between 450-750AD. After an hour’s boat trip to the island, walk the steps up the hillside to the caves. Shiva is the most depicted form. This afternoon enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Mumbai featuring Mani Bhawan, Gateway of India, Marine Drive and Prince of Wales Museum. Own accommodation arrangements.

Day 9: Mumbai - Hyderabad

Transfer from the Taj Mahal Palace to the airport. Own flight arrangements. Transfer from the airport in Hyderabad to the Taj Falaknuma Place. We will pick you up from you hotel and to take you to the Archaeological Museum, Salar Jung Museum and Nizahm Museum before returning to your hotel. Own accommodation arrangements.


Day 10: Hyderabad

Morning visit to Golconda Fort, a ruined city and former capital of the ancient Kingdom of Golkonda that dates back to the 13th Century. Also, a half day city tour including a visit to the Birla Venkateshwara Temple built in 1976, the views are excellent. The Charminar, or four towers built in 1591, which is surrounded by bustling bazaars housing Hyderabad’s pearl traders. Hyderabad is the centre of India’s pearl trade. Beyond here is the 16th century Mecca Masjid, the 6th largest mosque in India (the interior of which is closed to non-Muslims). We also visit the Laad Bazaar. Own accommodation arrangements.
