Day 1: Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.

Day 2: Delhi

Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.

Day 3: Delhi - Agra

An early morning start we will drive to Agra - home of India's famous attraction - the Taj Mahal. Upon arrival we will have a sightseeing tour to the Agra Fort, before watching the sun set on the Taj Mahal itself.

Day 4: Agra - Baroda

This morning you have an optional visit to the Taj Mahal (entrance fees payable locally). We will take a drive out to the ghostly fortifed city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandonded only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area. We then head to Delhi for the flight to Baroda (9w 2629 departing at 17:35 and arriving at 19:50). Own arrangements in Baroda.

Day 5: Baroda

Day 6: Baroda - Mumbai

Own arrangements to Baroda train station - your train is the Karanvati Express train, departing at 06:50 and arriving into Mumbai at 12:30. On arrival in Mumbai we will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 7: Mumbai

This morning after breakfast we take the cruise to visit Elephanta caves - Mumbai's premier tourist attraction. The rock-cut temples on peaceful Elephanta Island are thought to have been carved between 450 and 750 AD. The main cave contains large sculpted panels, including an astonishing 18-foot depiction of Shiva. Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour one of the most highly populated cities in the world, accommodating approximately 18 million people! Highlights include the Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India and Marine drive.

Day 8: Mumbai

Today you will have a full day excursion to Shirdi Sai Baba - no guide.

Day 9: Mumbai - Kovalam

We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Trivandru, (9W 336 departing at 10:45 and arriving at 12:50). On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel in Kovalam.
