The grand entrance into Delhi's famous Red Fort

Day 1: Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax or explore the secrets of the city's Mughal past in the labyrinthine streets of Old Delhi and the wide open spaces of imperial New Delhi with the car and driver at your disposal.

Day 2: Delhi - Agra

An early morning start we will drive to Agra - home of India's famous attraction - the Taj Mahal. Upon arrival we will have a sightseeing tour to the Agra Fort and the magnificent Taj Mahal. You will have plenty of photo opportunities.

Day 3: Agra

We set off early and head to Mathura and to Nand Gaon. We experience the famous Nand Gaon ki Holi, with a packed lunch and light snacks. Afterwards we experience the Holi celebrations, full of colour! Get your camers ready for the intense colours and myriad of photo opportunities. We then head back to the hotel in Agra.

Day 4: Agra - Bharatpur

Today we drive to Bharatpur, with a stop enroute at Fatehpur Sikri. We check into the hotel and in the afternoon, enjoy a bird wtaching tour in the world famous bird sanctuary, Keoladeo Ghana National Park, the nesting place for thousands of species of birds.

Day 5: Bharatpur - Jaipur

Today we will drive you through the Rajasthani countryside to Jaipur, the Pink city. On arrival we will check you into the hotel.

Day 6: Jaipur

This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant! In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the city. Highlights include the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.

Day 7: Jaipur

Free morning today to wander around in Jaipur and take in the colourful sights. This evening we will take you to Rambagh Polo grounds to see the Elephant festival. Groomed to perfection, glittering in gold, laden with silk tassels and intricately decorated with brightly coloured motifs, row upon row of elephants parade past the crowds.

Day 8: Jaipur - Delhi

This morning we will transfer you to Shahpura Village, to take part in their Holi festivities. Watch the festivities and then we return to Shahpura House, where you will be given a pair of white Kurta-Payajama and can throw Holi colours and be a part of this fun-filled festival. We have lunch at the haveli and then drive back to Delhi and check into the hotel.

Day 9: Delhi

We will transfer you to the hotel in time for your departure transfer.
