Day 1: Delhi
Namaste! Welcome to India and the start of your adventure. Our representative will welcome you at Delhi Airport and assist with the transfer to Saubagh Bed and Breakfast. Today you have a car and driver at your disposal for touring of Old Delhi and Connaught Place.
Day 2: Delhi
This morning enjoy the Salaam Baalak Trust City Walk. You then have free time with a car/driver at your disposal to explore Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur
It is an early start this morning - we transfer to the train station for the Shatabadi Express to Agra where we will visit the iconic Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. We then continue by road to Jaipur, stopping for lunch in Bharatpur and to visit the ghostly former Moghul city of Fatehpur Sikri - the fortified ghost city abandoned soon after its construction because of water shortages in the area.
Day 4: Jaipur
Very early this morning we visit the delicate pink Amber Fort - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant! Later you have the full day with car at disposal for Volunteering.
Day 5: Jaipur
This morning the car and driver are available and you will be volunteering at one of the local charities. In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the city including the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
Day 6: Jaipur - Varanasi
This morning we travel by road back to Delhi where you board your flights to Varanasi. Upon arrival our local representative will greet you and assist with the transfer to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax.
Day 7: Varanasi
This morning we visit various temples around this holy city and in the afternoon enjoy a visit to the famous Buddhist holy sight of Sarnath. This evening visit to the gnats on River Ganges to experience the evening Aarti Ceremony.
Day 8: Varanasi - Bodhgaya
We rise early this morning to return to the Ganges to witness the morning cleansing rituals. After breakfast, we take a walking tour of Old Varanasi's labyrinthine streets. Later we drive into Bodhgaya.
Day 10: Bodhgaya - Delhi
Today you enjoy an excursion to Mahabaodhi Temple and other places of interest (please note hotel check out it at 12 noon). This evening we will transfer you to Bodhgaya Station for the Rajdhani Express departing at 2230 to Delhi. Enjoy the comfort of a 1st class air conditioned shared cabin.
Day 11: Delhi
Arriving into Delhi this morning, you will be met off the train and transferred to your hotel The rest of the day is free to enjoy the facilities here.
Day 13: Delhi
We will collect you from your hotel for the airport transfer for your departure to Dubai.
