Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to Amazing India and the beginning of your fun filled adventure with us through this amazing country steeped in history. When you arrive we have a bus waiting to take you to your hotel for check in. At a pre arranged time we will have a group meeting to go over the details of the activities and arrangements for your time with us in India and a delicious welcome dinner.

Day 2: Delhi

This morning we enjoy a thrilling cycle rickshaw ride through the old city stopping off at various points such as the Red fort. We will enjoy a stop at the Chor Bazaar to enjoy a hearty Indian feast. In the afternoon we visit one of the city's finest monuments called Qutab Minar. This evening we will meet with an expert chef and learn to cook Indian food.

Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur

Today, we drive to Jaipur. Affectionately known as the Pink City as Maharaja Ram Singh had all of the Old City painted a welcoming pink in 1876 to herald a visit by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII), it is also the bustling capital of the state of Rajasthan. We enjoy a tour of the City Palace, (watch out for snake charmers that dot our route) and Jantar Mantar - an old yet cleverly designed space observatory.

Day 4: Jaipur

Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. This afternoon we go to Dera Amer estate to enjoy a back country elephant tour through the surrounding hills visiting rural villages concluding with a dinner and show at the estate.

Day 5: Jaipur - Agra

En route to Agra, we visit the ghostly former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned due to lack of water. We also enjoy a lunch at Udai Vilas Palace in Bharatpur or similar haveli before taking a walk through the nearby rural village Peharsar. Continue to Agra arrival and check into your hotel. Evening at leisure.

Day 6: Agra - Delhi

Rising early we enjoy a sunrise guided tour of the Magnificent Taj Mahal which is followed by a tour of the Agra Fort which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! We then drive back to Delhi arriving in the evening.

Day 7: Delhi - Chandigarh

This morning we travel by train to Chandigarh. After the partition of British India into India and Pakistan in 1947, the former British province of Punjab was split between India and Pakistan. The state of Punjab required a new capital city to replace Lahore (Now Pakistan) and Chandigarh was the result of this divide. Enjoy a tour of the city and evening at a hotel.

Day 8: Chandigarh - Manali

Today we make the big push up into the Himalayas. Sit back and enjoy the some what bumpy journey by road taking in the spectacular scenery that surrounds you. Arriving into Manali we will get you checked into your hotel.

Day 9: Manali

Today is a day to visit with the school you sponsor.

Day 12: Manali

Today enjoy a full day hike with guide starts from the Old Manali we pass the villages of Shanag, Goshal and Burua high above the River Beas before reaching the green hill slopes and meadows of Solang Nullah. The closest peak here is the Patalsu peak towering above the ancient Solang village . We begin our 2 ½ hour trek up to the peak 3963 m from where you get panoramic views of Hanuman Tibba and the Seven Sister snow peaks. We return by early evening to Solang Valley drive back to Manali.

Day 13: Manali - Delhi

Today you fly back to Delhi. Time to freshen up - This evening we will enjoy a wonderful farewell dinner trying the last of India's finest cuisine.

Day 14: Delhi

We will transfer you to Delhi airport in time for your flight home.
