Day 1: Delhi
Welcome to India and the start of your holiday! You will be met at Delhi International Airport by our friendly local team and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore or relax as you like.
Day 2: Delhi
This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. This afternoon why not further enhance your exploration of this busting city with an afternoon guided journey through the New Delhi area the highlights will include India gate a drive past parliamentary buildings and President's house, a guided visit to Humayun's tomb then concluding with sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub minar. Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur
Today, we drive 5 hours to Jaipur. Affectionately known as the Pink City as Maharaja Ram Singh had all of the Old City painted a welcoming pink in 1876 to herald a visit by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII), it is also the bustling capital of the state of Rajasthan. Arrival and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.
Day 4: Jaipur
This morning you will have to look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. This afternoon perhaps opt for a journey of discovery through the historic pink city of Jaipur we start with a photo stop in front of Jal mahal (lake palace) thereafter visit the ancient astronomical observatory of Jantar mantar and thereafter a guided tour of the city palace complex and it’s fascinating nooks and crannies. Day 5: Jaipur - Agra
An early morning start straight after breakfast we will drive 4 hours to Agra - home of India's famous attraction - the Taj Mahal. Upon arrival we will have a sightseeing tour to the Agra Fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! After check in at the hotel enjoy a guided tour of and watching the romantic sunset over the Taj Mahal itself - You will return after sun down for your full moon visit of the Taj Mahal.
Day 6: Agra - Chandigarh
This morning your driver will drive you back to Delhi. Along the way stopping to visit the Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned due to lack of water. Arrival in Delhi free time for lunch before we take you to the station for the train to Chandigarh. Arriving there late evening we will take you to a nearby hotel for a good nights sleep before making our way into the mountains.
Day 7: Chandigarh - Manali
After breakfast your driver awaits to take you into the majestic Himalayas. The drive is around 5-6 hours but the scenery is spectacular so sit back and enjoy. You can make photo stops, breaks along the way as you wish. Arrival and check into your hotel to relax after the journey.
Days 8-9: Manali
For today and tomorrow enjoy free time to explore the area - You can go hiking on easily marked trails in the vicinity or simply enjoy the town.
Day 10: Manali - Chandigarh
Today we have another drive ahead of us though the amazing scenery along the way makes it an easy journey. Your private car will collect you after breakfast for the drive back to Chandigarh. Arrival and check into your hotel to relax after the journey.
Day 11: Chandigarh - Mussoorie
Today we continue with a drive through the amazing scenery to Mussoorie. Your private car will collect you after breakfast for the drive. Arrival and check into your hotel to relax after the journey.
Day 12: Mussoorie
For today enjoy free time to explore the area - You can go hiking on easily marked trails in the vicinity or simply enjoy the town.
Day 13: Mussoorie - Rishikesh
Today your driver will take you the short distance to Rishikesh you can make a stop to visit Dehradun for a couple of hours if you like just let him know.
Days 14-15: Rishikesh
Known as the Yoga Capial of the World, Rishikesh is set on the banks of the Ganges and surrounded by hills, as such by its nature it is a perfect place to relax. Set amongst the banks of the Ganges, over the next two days free time you can visit several of its Temples or walk up river to swim/sun bathe on deserted river beaches. In the evening why not head to a riverside temple to enjoy an Arti ceremony where hundreds gather every night to participate.
Day 16: Rishikesh - Varanasi
Today we will drive back to Delhi leaving the himalayas in the rear view mirror. Along the way you will stop to visit Haridwar your driver will stop to show you many interesting temples no guide will be with you. When ready continue to Delhi. Arrival into Delhi and you can freshen up at the Almondz Hotel 3* before we take you to the station for the overnight to Varanasi.
Day 17: Varanasi
Your train arrives into Varanasi in the morning to the start of a new day and the gathering hustle and bustle. Our rep will be waiting for you, but make sure you take a moment to try some chai, hot tea from one of the vendors, before transferring to your hotel. This afternoon perhaps opt for a journey of discovery about how Buddha passed much time in Varanasi with a visit to Sarnath. Alternately enjoy free time to explore.
Day 18: Varanasi
This morning, we enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where we’ll view the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the many riverbank ghats (riverside steps). Later, we embark on a tour of the city taking in the key places of interest. Afternoon at leisure perhaps head to the river side ghats to see the evening ritual worship.
Day 19: Varanasi - Mumbai
Today you will take to the sky and fly on the Air India direct flight to Mumbai - Arrival and we will transfer you to your hotel.
Day 20: Mumbai
Today we embark on a half day glittering city tour, with a visit the Prince of Wales museum, Marine Drive and the Mani Bhawan Jain temple. Why not further enhance this experience by adding one of our enhance options to visit Elephanta Caves, please refer to enhance your holiday page for prices.
Day 22: Mumbai - Goa
This morning we will transfer you to the station for the train to Goa (Train Departs 05:10 AM and Arrives at 16:00 PM - AC Chair Car seating class) Sit back and enjoy the journey. Arriving into Goa station we will transfer you to your hotel LOCATED ON ANJUNA BEACH -- Nirvana Hermitage Hotel.
Days 23-26: Goa
Sit back and relax here in this laid back coastal area of India, walk along palm fringed beaches looking for shells and watching the fishermen at work, or simply kick back and enjoy some fresh fruit cocktails served on a silver platter. Overnight on ANJUNA BEACH -- Nirvana Hermitage Hotel.
Day 27: Goa
Today it is farewell to incredible India - We will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
