This morning you will be transferred for your A/C chair car train destined for Amritsar, your train departs Delhi 07:10 am and arrives 13:10 pm. Upon arrival we will transfer you to your hotel where you can relax.
Today a visit to the Famous Golden Temple the seat of the Sikh religion, Amritsar is one of the Punjab’s principal cities. Built in 1803 and made of marble, copper and pure leaf gold, the temple is an amazing architectural feat. Also you will enjoy a visit to Wagah - the only border crossing between India and Pakistan for the sunset ‘Retreat’ ceremony, where the changing of the guards & ceremonial lowering of the flags is performed with great pomp.
This morning we drive you to the train station for the train to Chandigarh, departing at 05:25 and arriving at 09:30. On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for you to explore on your own.
We transfer you to Kalka train station for the train to Shimla (Himalayan Queen, departing at 12:30 and arriving at 17:30, non air conditioned chair class). On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel.
Today we enjoy a full day sightseeing tour highlights to include the buildings of Colonial era, Jakhoo Temples dedicate to Lord Hanuman, Himachal State Museum, Kufri, Mashobra or Chail where world’s highest cricket ground is.
This morning we transfer to the train station for the famous toy train to Kalka 10:30 arriving Kalka 16:05 here you transfer to the Kalka Shatabdi 17:30 destined for Delhi, arriving at 21:45. On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel.
Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more. We will then drive you to Agra and check you into the hotel.
Today we rise early to see the Taj Mahal in its ethereal morning light, here you will enjoy exploration time and guided explanation of this one mans monument to love. Following this we drive back to Delhi and transfer you to the airport in time for your departure flight.
