Our guided sightseeing tour of Delhi today covers the colourful chaos of Old Delhi. During the 16th and 17th centuries, Delhi was important centre of the Mughal dynasty and the British made it the capital city in 1911. We take in Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk, the bustling bazaar, as well as the Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana – the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawahar Lal Nehru. Free afternoon. Departing Delhi, you journey to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. Here you enjoy a rickshaw ride to the legendary Taj Mahal. Built entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal has no peers. Continuing, you visit Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind its fortified walls.
After breakfast we will head south to Ranthambore national park and our first safari - will we see a tiger?
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the national park. Ranthambore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. The forests around the Ranthambore Fort were once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur
An interesting 6 Hr drive through increasingly varied scenery takes us to Jaipur, India's rose city. Arriving there enjoy some time to relax and enjoy the facilities of your hotel or a wander around the city.
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant! Free afternoon. Why not add on our tour of the city which includes the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory. After breakfast we will take a flight to India's holiest city: Varanasi. Upon arrival we will be transferred to our hotel for the evening.
Varanasi - a city abundant with temples and labyrinthine streets. In the early morning of we will enjoy a boat ride on the holy Ganges River. Later in the day we embark on a tour of India’s spiritual city. This evening consider at sunset re-visiting the ghats for the evening pilgrimage, a little different from the dawn ritual.
Breakfast and it's off to the airport for our flight to Chennai, formerly known as Madras (flight is via Delhi). Upon our arrival we we will head to the hotel and check you in.
Today, we visit Kanchipuram, one of sacred cities in India plus also the seaside town of Mahabalipuram, famous for its shore temple. The city is also famous for handwoven silk. In Mahabalipuram, the huge rock-cut sculptures and mandapams (pillared pavilions) date from the 5th to 8th centuries.
A morning tour of the city includes a visit to St George Fort, built in 1653 and St Mary’s Church, the oldest British church in India. Later we transfer you to the airport for the flight to Goa. On arrival we will check you into the hotel.
Once you arrive it's time to sit back and relax here in this laid back coastal area of India, walk along palm fringed beaches looking for shells and watching the fishermen at work, or simply kick back and enjoy some fresh fruit cocktails served on a silver platter.

An early morning start will see us take the train to the nations economic captial: Mumbai.
This morning we take an early visit out to Elephanta caves created between AD 450 and 750, and Mumbai's permier tourist attraction. This afternoon we will enjoy a tour of the city - India's economic hub and one of the most populous countries in the world, accommodating approximately 18 million people!!!!! enjoy free time this evening to do as you wish.
After breakfast we will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
