Day 2: Delhi - Chitwan N. P.

Early this morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu, capital of neighbouring Nepal (AI 213 – 07:20 /09:05). Upon your arrival in Kathmandu you will be met by our local representative and transferred to the Chitwan National Park for hotel check in.

Day 3: Chitwan N. P.

Widely acknowledged as one of the finest National Parks in Asia, Chitwan supports a population of a variety of species including Indian one horned rhino, bison, sloth bear, wild boar, deer, leopard and of course the magnificent, if elusive, Bengal tiger. This morning and evening we enjoy elephant back safari on the hunt to sight some of the many species of wildlife in the park. Other jungle activities will also be on offer today.

Day 4: Chitwan N. P. - Kathmandu

Departing Chitwan this morning we transfer you back to Kathmandu where you will enjoy an afternoon city tour. Resembling a medieval city of temples, shrines and living gods, Kathmandu is Nepal’s biggest and most cosmopolitan city, a meeting place of a dozen ethnic groups and once one of the most important points on the caravan routes between Tibet and India. Our sightseeing will include an overview of the city taking in Pashupatinath Temple which stands on the banks of the River Bhaginiti, Swayambhunath Pagoda and colossal Bodhnath. We’ll explore Durbar square in the heart of Kathmandu, which is home to more than 50 stunning temples and shrines.

Day 5: Kathmandu

Enjoy a morning at leisure or board a flight for a scenic ride past iconic Mt. Everest (booked and paid for locally). This afternoon enjoy further touring of Kathmandu before transferring to the airport for your flight back to Delhi (SG 46: 18:50 / 20:25) where you will join our Desert, Palaces and Ganges group tour.
