Day 1: Kathmandu - Chitwan N. P.

This morning we collect you from the Shangri-la and take you to the bus station and assist you with catching the public bus service (Greenline) to Chitwan National Park. Arriving here, a transfer brings you to your Jungle Resort. Enjoy the first of your included Safari activities offered by the hotel and included as part of your stay.

Days 2-3: Chitwan N. P.

Today and tomorrow allows free time for you to choose from the various optional activities available in Chitwan National Park on offer from your hotel, and included as part of your stay. Take a nature walk, a jungle drive, ride on an elephant or journey in a dugout canoe and admire the scenery - if you are lucky you may even see an elusive tiger!

Day 4: Chitwan N. P. - Delhi

This morning we transfer to Bharatpur airport and catch the 1055/1120 hrs flight to Kathmandu. Arriving here, connect on your AI 216 1540/1700 flight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and we transfer to your hotel to meet Ramblers leader (hotel name to be confirmed).

Days 5-16: Delhi

The next days are at your own arrangements.

Day 17: Delhi

Tonight we have included accommodations at the Almondz Hotel. Make your way there after your Ramblers group dinner.

Day 18: Delhi - Shimla

Bright and early this morning we board the Shatabdi Express bound for Kalka. Upon arrival travellers will transfer to the narrow gauge Himalayan Queen Toy Train to continue their journey on to Shimla. The Kalka to Shimla railway is the greatest narrow gauge engineering feat in India. The scenic 96 kilometre journey winds around 919 curves, passes through 20 railway stations and clatters across five level crossings. There are also 102 tunnels to navigate and some 863 multi-arched galleries bridges to cross where spectacular landscapes of rolling hills, lush valleys and panoramic vistas can be seen. Arrival in Shimla, included transfer to the hotel.


Day 19: Shimla

Today we enjoy a morning guided sightseeing tour of the lofty settlement, venturing into the narrow streets, which fall steeply away from the ridge giving way to colourful bazaars and fine views of the surrounding valley and snow-capped peaks. Afternoon at leisure to explore.

Day 20: Shimla

Today offers free time for you to independently explore Shimla. You can opt for a stroll around the town, drop by the colourful Lakkar Bazaar or hike to the summit of Jakhoo Hill, Shimla’s highest point. Here visitors are rewarded with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks set as a glorious backdrop to the sleepy township of Shimla below.

Day 21: Shimla

Enjoy more free time today. Hotel check-out is at noon. Opt for some lunch and pack an evening picnic meal before driving to Kalka and boarding the Kalka Shatabdi Express and arriving into Delhi late this evening 21:55, we transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
