Welcome to the tropical south! Arrive at Kochi International Airport and we will transfer you to your hotel for the evening.
This morning enjoy a tour of Old Kochi. Formerly a princely state, Kochi is also fondly referred to as “The Queen of the Arabian Sea”. This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the town including the beautiful Parsi Synagogue built in 1568, the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese in 1555 and St Francis’ Church. We will then transfer you approx. 2 hours to Alleppey to board your houseboat. Floating serenly along through palm fringed waters, watch fascinating scenes of everyday life, relax in the sunshine and absorb the picturesque scenery.
After breakfast you will disembark the houseboat in Munnar. This afternoon we visit Raja Malai - the highest peak of Munnar, where you might be lucky to see Neel Thar or mountain goats. Then we explore Munnar’s tea estates and the tea museum.
Today enjoy an excursion to Club Mahindra for an adventurous jeep safari in the Kolukumalai Hills to visit a tea factory and learn more about the industry.
This morning we tour Eravikulum National Park and then drive approx. 4 hours to Kodaikanal for the evening. Overnight Hill Country Resort or similar.
This morning is free for you to explore Kodaikanal independently. This afternoon we drive approx. 4 hours to Coimbatore for the evening.
This morning drive approx. 2 hours to Coonoor. This afternoon we visit the picturesque Botanical Gardens and Dodabetta Peak, the highest known peak in the region. Overnight The Gateway Hotel Church Road or similar.
Enjoy a full day of sightseeing today! We visit the beautiful tea and coffee plantations of Ooty and the Rose Gardens. Possibly the highlight of the day is a wonderful joy ride on the charming Toy Train from Ooty to Coonoor. Overnight The Gateway Hotel Church Road or similar.
After an early start we head to our next stop on our journey, the hill district of Waynard. Later on today we visit the fascinating pre-historic Edakkal Caves.
Today we go in search of animals in Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary on a 3 hour jeep ride. Muthanga is famous for it's herds of wild elephant, spotted deer and bison. You can also catch sight of a while host of colourful birdlife and Malabar squirrels.
Sadly your last day with us with your departure transfer (approx. 2.5 hours) to Kozhikode.
