Day 1: New Delhi
Welcome to India and the start of your holiday! Arriving to Delhi International Airport you will be met by our representative and included onward transfer to our hotel. The remainder of the day offers free time for you to relax or explore the city your own way. Our welcome meeting takes place at 8pm this evening.
Day 2: New Delhi - Shimla
Bright and early this morning we board the Shatabdi Express bound for Kalka. Here you will transfer (independently) to the narrow gauge Himalayan Queen Toy Train travelling to Shimla. Arrival and included transfer to your hotel. Overnight - Almondz Hotel
Day 3: Shimla
Today we enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the lofty settlement, venturing into the narrow streets, which fall steeply away from the ridge giving way to colourful bazaars and fine views of the surrounding valley and snow-capped peaks. Overnight - Woodville Palace
Day 4: Shimla - Haridwar
This morning we drive to Ambala (4 hrs)-- Here you board the express train to Haridwar - Arriving there we transfer you to your hotel. This evening enjoy witnessing the evening aarti ceremony at Har-Ki-Pairi a must see spectacle in this Sacred city. Overnight - Woodville Palace
Day 5: Haridwar - Corbett NP
This morning we visit some of the famous temples like Mansa Devi, chandi temple, local markets. Today we drive (3-4 hours) to Corbett National Park. Arrival and check into your hotel. Overnight - Haveli Hari Ganga
Day 6: Corbett NP
This morning enjoy an included game drive into the Park (Afternoon game drive can only be booked and paid for locally subject to availability) Overnight - Claridge's Corbett Hideaway
Day 7: Corbett NP - Agra
This morning enjoy an included game drive into the Park. Afternoon (12 noon) you drive by private car 295 Kms (8-9 hours) to Agra- Arrival and check into your hotel. Overnight - Claridge's Corbett Hideaway
Day 8: Agra - Jaipur
After breakfast we head out to view the magnificent Taj Mahal. Enjoy your own time to explore and a guided tour of this once powerful Moghul emperor’s monument to love. Later we visit Agra fort built under the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 that contains numerous palaces and a white marble mosque and the Baby Taj. We then drive to Jaipur. Overnight - Mansingh Palace
Day 9: Jaipur
This morning, we travel beyond Jaipur to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour and plenty of time to explore. Later we go to Dera Amer on the outside of the city for an Elephant Safari in the country visiting villages and seeing wildlife dinner at Dera Amer return to your hotel. (if Dera Amer is not of interest reduction on quote 50 GBP per person) Overnight - Shahpura House
Day 10: Jaipur - New Delhi
We enjoy a tour of the City Palace (Hawa Mahal), Galta Temple and Jantar Mantar - an old, yet cleverly designed space observatory. After we drive to Delhi - Arrival and check into your hotel. Overnight - Shahpura House
