Day 1: New Delhi
Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.
Day 2: New Delhi
Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more. Overnight - Superior Accommodation
Day 3: New Delhi - Amritsar
This morning you will be transferred to the train station for your train to Amritsar (0720/1325 - AC Chair Car). You will be met upon arrival at the train station and transferred to your hotel. In the evening you enjoy an excursion to the Wagah border to witness the retreat ceremony. Overnight - Superior Accommodation
Day 4: Amritsar
Today a visit to the Famous Golden Temple the seat of the Sikh religion, Amritsar is one of the Punjab’s principal cities. Built in 1803 and made of marble, copper and pure leaf gold, the temple is an amazing architectural feat. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight - Ranjit's Svaasa
Day 5: Amritsar - Dalhousie
Today you travel by road (private vehicle with driver only) to Dalhouse which is about 5 hours. Overnight - Ranjit's Svaasa
Day 7: Dalhousie
Full day excursion today t o Khajiar and Chamba Valley. Overnight - Standard accommodation
Day 8: Dalhousie - Dharamsala
Today we travel about 4 hours by private vehicle (driver only) to Dharamsala. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight - Standard accommodation
Day 9: Dharamsala
Full day sightseeing today includes a visit to Nam Gyal monastery, Tibet Museum, St John Church and Kangra. Overnight - Chonor House
Day 10: Dharamsala
Today we travel about 4.5 hours by private vehicle (with driver) to Mandi. Overnight Mandi - Visco Resort (Super deluxe room). Overnight - Chonor House
Day 11: - Shimla
Today we continue to Shimla by private vehicle (driver only). Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 12: Shimla
Today we enjoy a guided sightseeing tour, venturing into the narrow streets, which fall steeply away from the ridge giving way to colourful bazaars and fine views of the surrounding valley and snow-capped peaks. We also visit Kufri. Overnight - Clarkes Hotel
Day 14: Shimla - New Delhi
Today you travel 3 hours by road to Kalka. Here you board your train to Delhi (1745/2155). Upon arrival into Delhi you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight - Clarkes Hotel
Day 15: New Delhi
Today we bid you farewell and transfer you to the airport for your onward flight. Overnight - Superior Accommodation
