Day 1: Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to New Delhi, the capital city of India and the start of your eye-opening adventure! Our trusty staff are waiting at the airport anticipating your arrival so once you have passed through customs you will find them waiting in the arrivals hall to transfer you to your hotel where you can relax for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Delhi - Jaisalmer

This morning our Welcome Meeting takes place. Here you will discuss with our operations manager your upcoming holiday. Afterwards you will explore both Old and New Delhi with a private guide. Highlights of the tour will be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and much more. Tonight at 19:00 you will travel to Udaipur by sleeper train, a must-do experience for any visitor young or old! The friendly locals will be vying for a chat with you.

Day 3: Jaisalmer

Your train will arrive at 11:00am to the start of a new day and the gathering hustle and bustle. Our rep will be waiting for you, but make sure you take a moment to try some chai, hot tea from one of the vendors, before transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at your leisure to explore the ancient alley ways full of historic buildings.

Day 4: Jaisalmer

Enjoy a morning tour of the city highlights including Jaisalmer Fort, Salim Singh-ki-Haveli built in 1815. In the afternoon we go to a small village here you go by camel back into the mighty Thar desert for a night camping at a permanent camp site. Enjoy the evening under a blanket of stars and great local foods will be served to you.

Day 5: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur

We collect bags back in the town then an interesting drive through increasingly varied scenery takes us to Jodhpur, a town at the edge of the mighty Thar Desert. Dominated by Meherangarh Fort which sits majestically atop a hill, Jodhpur is known as the Blue City. This is because of the coloured houses in the old town, painted indigo. We’ll enjoy some touring in this colourful Rajasthani city, taking in the mighty fort and bazaars of the old city which are gathered around the city’s tall clock tower.

Day 6: Jodhpur - Narlai

Heading toward Udaipur we break journey in Narlai for your one night stay at the 17th century fortress. Today you can enjoy various optional activities like Horse back riding, Trekking and more payable for any activity directly to the hotel.

Day 7: Narlai - Udaipur

Continue onto Udaipur today. En route the driver will stop to let you at leisure visit the amazing Jain temples of Ranakpur. When ready continue onto Udaipur. After check in some leisure time to relax.

Day 8: Udaipur

This morning enjoy touring the imposing City Palace, a vision in soft yellow stone on the northeast promontory with breathtaking views of the lake. We then take you to visit Jagdish Temple and Sahelion ki bari. This evening we drive half hour to the Monsoon Palace to witness sunset and experience the magic atmosphere at twilight.

Day 9: Udaipur - Agra

Free day to explore. This evening transfer to the station for the sleeper to train to Agra.

Day 10: Agra

Arriving into Agra this morning we will collect you for transfer to your hotel. we Afternoon visit to Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! An this evening enjoy a sunset guided tour of the Taj Mahal and there will be plenty of time to explore on your own.

Day 11: Agra - Amritsar

This morning we make our way back to Delhi where you can grab a late lunch before you catch the express train to Amritsar. Arriving in the late PM we will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 12: Amritsar

This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the historic Amritsar, including the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. Amritsar’s main attraction - the beautiful Golden Temple, is made of white marble, bronze and gold leaf. The lower half of the Golden Temple is covered with marble and the upper with copper, overlaid with pure gold leaf, thus the name “The Golden Temple”. Later we go to the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. Visiting Wagah is an interesting experience especially at sunset when the ‘Retreat’ ceremony takes place with the BSF on the Indian Side of the Border.

Day 13: Amritsar - Dharamsala

Today we drive from the hot plains of India into the HImalayas. This is not as daunting as it sounds as in India driving offers a fascinating window onto another world so sit back, relax and enjoy the journey, soaking in the amazing sights and sounds as you make your way into the snow capped peaks. Arrival in Dharamsala and check into your hotel. (5 hours drive)

Day 14: Dharamsala

Enjoy a free day to explore I highly recommend you go to walking on one of the many trails in the surrounding mountains to see the amazing snow capped vistas.

Day 15: Dharamsala

Enjoy a free day to explore I highly recommend you go to walking on one of the many trails in the surrounding mountains to see the amazing snow capped vistas.

Day 16: Dharamsala - Shimla

Again we take to the road and drive to Shimla sit back and enjoy the road trip and take in the stunning scenery. (7 hours drive)


Day 17: Shimla

Enjoy a free day to explore I highly recommend you go to walking on one of the many trails in the surrounding mountains to see the amazing snow capped vistas.

Day 18: Shimla - Delhi

We ride along UNESCO’s world heritage listed narrow gauge railway to Kalka, meandering our way through the Himalayan foothills. Fortunately, there’s no derailments and precarious car chases this time! And it’s back to Delhi on one of India’s more modern express trains.

Day 19: Delhi

Bid farewell to the land of Maharajas – it’s time to be transferred to the international airport for our flight back home.
