The grand entrance into Delhi's famous Red Fort

Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to the start of your voyage of discovery through 'Incredible India'! You will be met at Delhi International Airport by our friendly local team and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore or relax as you like.

Day 2: Delhi

This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. This afternoon we further your exploration of this bustling city with a guided journey through the New Delhi area the highlights will include India gate a drive past parliamentary buildings and President's house, a guided visit to Humayun's tomb then concluding with sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub minar.

Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur

Today, we drive 5 hours to Jaipur. Affectionately known as the Pink City as Maharaja Ram Singh had all of the Old City painted a welcoming pink in 1876 to herald a visit by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII), it is also the bustling capital of the state of Rajasthan. Arriving here, enjoy some down time to relax at your lovely heritage hotel.

Day 4: Jaipur

This morning you will have to look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we'll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. This afternoon enjoy a journey of discovery through the historic pink city of Jaipur, we start with a photo stop in front of Jal mahal (Lake Palace) thereafter visit the ancient astronomical observatory of Jantar mantar and thereafter a guided tour of the city palace complex and it’s fascinating nooks and crannies.

Day 5: Jaipur - Ranthambhore NP

After breakfast we have a 3-4 hour drive through great scenery, to Ranthambhore National Park. We check-in, freshen up and then venture out for an evening game drive in shared canters and hopefully get to see your first Bengal Tiger.

Day 6: Ranthambhore NP

This wildlife sanctuary is considered to be the country's best for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger. Today explore and enjoy the park up close with morning and afternoon game drives in a shared canter vehicle.


Day 7: Ranthambhore NP - Agra

This morning early we will depart from this wonderful park hopefully having seen some of the elusive tigers. We will make our way to the train station to catch the train to Bharatpur seating in AC Chair car. Arriving in Bharatpur we will drive to Agra. En route we pay a visit to the red sandstone Fatehpuri sikri. In Agra we visit the impressive Agra Fort, which boasts some of India's finest Mughal buildings behind it's fortified walls. Later on we take a motorised buggy to the legendary Taj Mahal and witness a magical sunset.

Day 8: Agra - Khajuraho

We are up bright and early today to catch the train to Jhansi seating in AC Chair Car. Arriving here our local driver is waiting to take you onto Khajuraho. First we drive to explore the wonderful town of Orchha which is situated on the banks of the River Betwa and is set amongst a wonderful complex of well-preserved 16th century temples and palaces. Arrive into Khajuraho by sundown and check into your hotel.

Day 9: Khajuraho - Varanasi

This morning explore the amazing Hindu temples which were built during the Chandela dynasty over a 100 year burst of creative genius from 950-1050 AD. Immortalised in stone, the carved temples display exceedingly artistic aspects of Indian life a millennium ago. We then go to the local small airport and catch a flight to Varanasi. Here, our rep is waiting to transfer you to your hotel.

Day 10: Varanasi

Enjoy morning boat ride on the river Ganges to see the morning ritual cleansing and worship of the sacred river. Afternoon enjoy a tour of Sarnath which is where Buddha himself travelled to first, after attaining enlightenment, and is the very place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to the five holy men; preaching the middle way to final 'NIRVANA’ also known as the teaching of Dharma.

Day 11: Varanasi - Kalimpong

With your guide head out to explore the city in depth. Highlights will be Banaras Hindu University and some of the interesting religious sites of the city such as Bharat mata Mandir the only temple dedicated to Mother India and after a visit to New Vishwanath temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and considered the most famous temple in the city. This evening we will take you to the station for the overnight sleeper train destined toward the mighty Himalayas.

Day 12: Kalimpong

This morning around 8am the train pulls into New Jalpaiguri station. Our local driver is awaiting your arrival to drive you through magnificent scenery, around 3 hours to Kalimpong. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to explore this beautiful small town and surrounding scenery.

Day 13: Kalimpong - Gangtok

Leaving Kalimpong, we drive to Gangtok, where the remains of the day are at leisure. This is the capital of Sikkim, a tiny Himalayan state known for its orchids and flowers and for the heavy influence of Tibetan culture, Gangtok although rapidly developing is still full of charm, thanks to its Buddhist past. Beyond the busy market areas, lie monastic complexes and striking countryside. So why not head out to explore in your own time for the later afternoon.

Day 14: Gangtok

This morning enjoy a journey with our expert local guide of Gangtok taking in the Royal Monastery – Tsuklakhang from the outside only the Institute of Tibetology. This evening concludes with a visit to the beautiful Rumtek Monastery, Sikkim's largest and most active monastery, which is located in a lower valley.

Day 15: Gangtok - Darjeeling

Leaving Gangtok, we drive to Darjeeling. Sitting at a spectacular altitude of 2124m with a backdrop of mighty snow-clad Himalayan peaks and surrounded by verdant tea plantations, Darjeeling has been a popular hill station since the British established it as an R & R centre for their troops in the mid 19th century.

Day 16: Darjeeling

This morning we enjoy a drive to Tiger Hill to catch sunrise over the snowy peaks of Kanchenjunga - the world’s third highest mountain. Continuing, enjoy a visit to the Ghoom Gompa (monastery) by toy train. This is then followed by a city sightseeing trip and a visit to a tea estate to see the process from start to finish.

Day 17: Darjeeling - Kathmandu

Morning we set off to drive to the Kakarbita Border of India / Nepal here we transfer to Bhadrapur Airport for your short domestic flight to Kathmandu. Arriving here our local rep is waiting to take you to your hotel.

Day 18: Kathmandu

Enjoy a full day tour we will start exploring Kathmandu by visiting the spectacular Patan Durbar Square, also known as Lalitpur Durbar Square. Patan Durbar Square is home to the former Patan Royal Family. The most photographed of Kathmandu’s 3 Durbar Squares, it features a remarkable display of Newari architecture and its main attractions include the Krishna Temple, with its 21 golden pinnacles; Rudra Varna Mahavihar; the Buddhist Monastery, which houses the local treasures; and the central courtyard of Mul Chowk. Return to your hotel by sundown.

Day 19: Kathmandu - Chitwan N. P.

Morning drive to Chitwan National Park. Arriving here enjoy afternoon Jungle activities organised and offered by the hotel as part of your stay.

Today enjoy morning and afternoon Jungle activities organised and offered by the hotel as part of your stay.

Day 21: Chitwan N. P. - Pokhara

Enjoy the last morning jungle activity before we make our way by car on the scenic drive to Pokhara. Remainder of the day at your leisure. You can opt to participate in optional activities such as paragliding, mountain biking, cycling, boating and horse riding, or if you prefer why not unwind down by the lake.

Day 22: Pokhara

This morning again you can opt to participate in optional activities such as paragliding, mountain biking, cycling, boating and horse riding, or if you prefer why not unwind down by the lake.

Day 23: Pokhara - Kathmandu

Today sadly say farewell to this magnificent town and drive through stunning vistas all the way back to Kathmandu. Arriving here check into your hotel and relax after the journey.

Day 24: Kathmandu

Your adventure comes to an end today, our local driver will bid you farewell with a transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
