Day 1: Mumbai

Namaste! Welcome to India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.

Day 2: Mumbai

Enjoy a half day sightseeing tour one of the most highly populated cities in the world, accommodating approximately 18 million people! Highlights include the Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India, Marine drive, Mani Bhavan, Dhobi Talao, the Hanging Gardens and Crawford Market.

Day 3: Mumbai

Free day. If you would like guided sightseeing today, why not add on our excursion to Elephanta Caves. The rock-cut temples on peaceful Elephanta Island are thought to have been carved between 450 and 750 AD. The main cave contains large sculpted panels, including an astonishing 18-foot depiction of Shiva. See Enhance Your Holiday page for details.


Day 4: Mumbai - Delhi

We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Delhi. On arrival we will check you into the hotel. Our guided sightseeing tour of Delhi today covers the colourful chaos of Old Delhi. During the 16th and 17th centuries, Delhi was important centre of the Mughal dynasty and the British made it the capital city in 1911. We take in Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk, the bustling bazaar, as well as the Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana – the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawahar Lal Nehru.

Day 5: Delhi

Day 6: Delhi - Amritsar

After breakfast, you will be taken to Delhi Railway station for your train to Amritsar. On arrival in Amritsar, you will met by a guide, who will assist and transfer you to your hotel. Later in the evening we will visit Golden Temple in the night to view Palaki Sahib Ceremony (where the Granth Sahib – holy book is taken to resting place for the night and brought again in the morning to the temple for guidance).

Day 7: Amritsar

Today enjoy a guided tour of Amritsar. Visit the Golden Temple, the spiritual nerve-centre of the Sikh faith. Also called Harmandir, the temple is made of white marble and copper gilt with its dome covered with gold leaf. Visit the historic Jallianwala Bagh, also see the beautiful Ram Bagh gardens. In the afternoon visit Wagah Border to witness change of guard ceremony between Indian and Pakistani armies.

Day 8: Amritsar - Jaipur

Morning at leisure to explore of your own. In the afternoon, you will be taken to Delhi Railway station for your train to Jaipur.

Day 9: Jaipur

On arrival in Jaipur you will met your guide, who will assist and transfer you to your hotel. You can have breakfast on direct payment basis. In the afternoon, free time. If you would like a half day sightseeing tour of Jaipur city, add on our Jaipur Up Close excurion - Begin with the visit to the City Palace, then walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar or Astronomical Observatory. Day 10: Jaipur - Goa

After early breakfast, you will be driven just outside Jaipur to the ancient capital of Amber to see the fabulous Amber Fort. The fort is surrounded by fortified battlements and overlooks the Moat Lake. We will then transfer you to the airport for the flight to Goa. On arrival we will check you into the hotel.

Day 11: Goa - Bangalore

Morning at leisure to explore of your own. We will transfer you to the train station in time for the overnight train to Bangalore.

Day 12: Bangalore

Bangalore with its salubrious climate, tree-lined avenues, trendy downtown, and the software flood, Bangalore truly offers one a picture of striking contrasts. There are old beautiful bungalows, parks, hallowed places of worship and traditional market-places on the one hand, balancing with fashionable shopping malls, pubs, new architectural wonders and modern looking religious centres on the other. Enjoy a half day of sightseeing. Highlights include Vidhana Souda and Cubon Park.

Day 13: Bangalore - Mysore

Today we drive to Mysore the land of magnificent palaces and beautiful gardens. Mysore has still an old world charm which have not given way to modern amenities. Arrive Mysore and we will be there to meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city in the afternoon. Highlights include the impressive Maharaja's Palace, the official residence of the former royal family of Mysore.

Day 14: Mysore - Ooty

After Breakfast, you will drive to Ooty. Ooty, 'The queen of the Blue Mountains', lies in the Nilgiri mountain ranges in Tamil Nadu. Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 15: Ooty

Today you will be transferred to Coonoor Railway Station for toy train ride to Ooty. You will be taken for the half day tour of Ooty visit the Botanical gardens established in 1848.There are over 1000 varieties of plants, shrubs and trees among beautiful lawns and glass houses. See the Ooty Lake, where boating is a popular pastime, and the Doddabatta Peak which at 2623 m is the highest in the Nilgiri hills.

Day 16: Ooty - Kochi

After breakfast, you will drive to breathtakingly beautiful Munnar - a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country. On arrival, check-in at your hotel and the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 17: Kochi - Alleppey

Today after breakfast, you will drive to Alleppey to embark your houseboat for an overnight stay. Kettuvallams, the stitched boats provide the best way to experience the colourful backwaters of Kerala. A sojourn in Kettuvallam, the House boat of Kerala, offers a panoramic view of one of the most picturesque aspects of the God's Own Country. You will cruise through the palm-fringed backwaters, throughout a night in waxing moonlights.

Day 18: Alleppey

A day at leisure as you gently cruise through the tropical backwaters on your houseboat.

Day 19: Alleppey - Chennai

After breakfast, you'll disembark from the houseboat and be transferred to your hotel in Kochi. This afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the town including the Synagogue, Dutch Palace and St Francis' Church. We will then transfer you to Ernakulam for the overnight train to Chennai.

Day 20: Chennai - Mumbai

This morning you enjoy a half days sightseeing of Chennai. Sightseeing will include the Government Museum, Santhome Cathedral Church, Kapaleshwara Temple and Marina Beach. In the afternoon we transfer you to the airport for the flight to Mumbai. On arrival we will check you into the hotel.
