Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.
This morning we will take you to the train station to board your 0720 train to Kalka where you will arrive at 1200 and board your 1210 train to Shimla, on arrivla into Shimla at 1720 we will meet you and transfer you to your hotel
Today is yours to explore the hill station of Shimla. Venture into the narrow streets, which fall steeply away from the ridge giving way to colourful bazaars and fine views of the surrounding valley and snow-capped peaks. Walk through 'The Mall' which is lined with stately English homes and the fortress like Viceregal Lodge.
After a morning of leisure, we will drive the 2 hour journey to Kalka and board the 1730 onward train to Delhi. Arriving at 21:40 pm we will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for the night.
This morning we will drive to Corbett National Park - one of India's finest! Corbett offers scenic charm and magnificent landscapes.
Today we will enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives. Abundant in wildlife including Tiger, Asian elephant, spieces of deer, leopard, langur, wild boar and birdlife - get those camera's ready!
This morning we will enjoy a further game drive before heading back to Delhi later this afternoon.
Departing Delhi, you journey to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. Here you enjoy a rickshaw ride to the legendary Taj Mahal. Built entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal has no peers. Continuing, you visit Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls.
This morning we will take a drive out to the ghostly fortifed city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandonded only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area. Continiuing on you will arrive at Jaipur; 'The Pink City'. This afternoon enjoy some free time to relax.
Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where you will enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon you tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
After an early morning wake up all you will board your 0840 flight to Mumbai, on arrival at 1015 we wil transfer you to your hotel for an afternoon of leisure time.
This morning we take an early visit out to Elephanta caves created between AD 450 and 750, and Mumbai's permier tourist attraction. This afternoon we will enjoy a tour of the city - India's economic hub and home to Bollywood.
This monrning you fly to Bangalore at 0910, on arrival at 1045 we will transfer ou to your hotel to freshen up before an afternoon sightseeing tour. Often regarded as India's most progressive city, it is also nicknamed the 'Garden City' due to its many parks.
Today we wil say goodbye to Rosalie as we take her to the airport for her onward flight and Winston and Ruth will continue onto Mysore where you will enjoy sn afternoon sightseeing tour of this charming city.
Today we will drive north to Hassam to explore the Temples of Halebid and Belur, these Hoysala Temples are the cream of one of the most artistically exuberant periods of Hindu cultural development.
Travelling further north to Hampi, this afternoon we will explore the fascintating ruins of Vijayanagar - set in strange and sublime boulder strewn landscape that resembles maginal air!
This morning we will explore the Temples further, before driving onto Goa and checking into your hotel for the start of a few days of relaxation.
Sit back and relax here in this laid back coastal area of India, walk along palm fringed beaches looking for shells and watching the fishermen at work, or simply kick back and enjoy some fresh fruit cocktails served on a silver platter.
