Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.
This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.
This morning we take you to the station to catch the train to Haridwar Shatabdi express - 0640 / 1130. Arrival and check into your hotel. This evening your guide will meet you and take you to see the Aarti ceremony in worship of the sacred river Ganges.
Enjoy the day with your guide visiting the many temples highlights being Mansa Devi, ancient Daksh Mahadev and Chandi Devi Temple set upon the banks of the Ganges. Late afternoon/evening at leisure.
Today your guide will take you to visit what is known as the gateway to the Garhwal Himalaya and one of the holiest towns in India, Hindus regard it as highly as Muslims regard Mecca the name of the town is Rishikesh. Spend the day with your guide visiting temples and ashrams returning in the evening to Haridwar.
Morning transfer to the railway station for the 06:00 am train direct to Agra sit back and enjoy the journey Indian train journey are a thrilling experience meeting and talking with the locals and seeing life go by out the window. Arrive into Agra around 15:50 we transfer you to your hotel. (OUR DELHI REPS WILL BE DROPPING OFF PACKED LUNCH WHEN TRAIN STOPS BRIEFLY IN DELHI)
Morning after breakfast to we take a motorised buggy to have a guided tour at the legendary Taj Mahal. Built entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal has no peers. Continuing, we visit Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. Driving en route to Jaipur we stop to enjoy a late lunch at Udai Vilas Palace in Bharatpur, before taking a walk through the nearby rural village Peharsar. Arrive Jaipur evening at leisure.
Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon we tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
Today we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. Arriving there we meet the group for transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Today we embark on a glittering full day city tour, with a morning visit to the cave temples of Elephanta Island sculpted during the 5th to the 8th centuries. In the afternoon visit the Prince of Wales museum, Marine Drive and the Mani Bhawan Jain temple.
This morning take a guided heritage walking tour, visiting the main buildings in South Mumbai. Late this afternoon embark upon further exploration of the city, visiting the Afghani Church and the holy Banganga Tank - an ancient water tank built over a freshwater spring under the Silhara dynasty in the 14th century. This evening enjoy a leisurely horse and buggy ride along Marine Drive toward Chowpatty beach.
Today we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Goa. Arriving there we meet the group for transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Sit back and relax here in this laid back coastal area of India, walk along palm fringed beaches looking for shells and watching the fishermen at work, or simply kick back and enjoy some fresh fruit cocktails sitting by the pool served on a silver platter.
