The grand entrance into Delhi's famous Red Fort

Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to India! You will be met upon arrival in Delhi and transferred to your hotel the remaining time you have at your leisure.

Day 2: Delhi

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi this morning, taking in the Red Fort, Jama Masjid mosque and the bazaars of Chandni Chowk. This afternoon, enjoy a tour of New Delhi, designed by the eminent Sir Edward Lutyens. Highlights include the India Gate, Rajpath and bustling Connaught Place. A visit is also made to Qutab Minar, essentially a massive tower built to proclaim the arrival of Islam in the 11th century .

Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur

Drive to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan affectionately known as the Pink City and relax in the afternoon.

Day 4: Jaipur

Today we take a stately elephant ride to the 15th Century Amber Fort, after which enjoy a city tour of the City Palace, followed by a visit to the Jantar Mantar space observatory. Don’t miss the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) with its incredible façade of balconies.

Day 5: Jaipur - Agra

This morning we go to Agra, en route to Agra, enjoy a visit to the deserted Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. On arrival in Agra, the rest of the day is at your disposal.

Day 6: Agra

Today enjoy a horsecart ride to the Taj Mahal. Possibly the most recognised of all India’s landmarks, the Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in the 16th century. Later, enjoy a visit to the colossal 15th century Agra Fort..Rest of the afternoon free.

Day 7: Agra - Delhi

This morning we will drive you to Delhi and transfer you to your hotel on arrival. Rest of the day is free and at your leisure.

Day 8: Delhi - Shimla

Bright and early this morning we board the Shatabdi Express bound for Kalka. Here you will transfer (independently) to the narrow gauge Himalayan Queen Toy Train travelling to Shimla. Arrival and included transfer to your hotel.

Day 9: Shimla

Today we enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the lofty settlement, venturing into the narrow streets, which fall steeply away from the ridge giving way to colourful bazaars and fine views of the surrounding valley and snow-capped peaks.

Day 10: Shimla

Today you have a free day in Shimla to explore the local surroundings.

Day 11: Shimla - Haridwar

This morning we drive to Ambala (4 hrs)-- Here you board the express train to Haridwar - Arriving there we transfer you to your hotel. This evening enjoy witnessing the evening aarti ceremony at Har-Ki-Pairi a must see spectacle in this Sacred city.

Day 12: Haridwar

Haridwar is an ancient pilgrimage site, held in reverence for centuries. a day with our guide for an in-depth tour of this sacred city. Highlights will include visiting Ganges to see devotees taking bath, visiting some of the famous temples like Mansa Devi, chandi temple, local markets The evening enjoy an Aarti (religious) ceremony at Haridwar

Day 13: Haridwar - Delhi

This morning transfer to the train station to catch train to Delhi. Train Jan Shatabdi Express departs at 0600 and arrives at 1130. Air conditioned chair car.

Day 14: Delhi

Today is the end of you Indian adventure we will transfer you to the airport where we will wave you goodbye.
