This morning after breakfast we take the cruise to visit Elephanta caves - Mumbai's premier tourist attraction. The rock-cut temples on peaceful Elephanta Island are thought to have been carved between 450 and 750 AD. The main cave contains large sculpted panels, including an astonishing 18-foot depiction of Shiva.
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour one of the most highly populated cities in the world, accommodating approximately 18 million people! Highlights include the Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India and Marine drive.
We will transfer you to the airport for flight G8 111 to Jaipur, departing at 14:50 and arriving at 16:30. On arrival we will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in styleon top of an elephant! Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city and a visit to a local textile house.
After a relaxing breakfast we will head off to Agra home to of India's most famous monuments - the Taj Mahal. En route we will also pay a visit to the ghostly former Moghul city of Fatehpur Sikri - the fortified ghost city abandoned soon after its construction because of water shortages in the area. Arriving in Agra you will check into your hotel and the rest of the day is free.
Today we rise early to see the Taj Mahal in its ethereal morning light. We will also visit Agra Fort. Later today we take the drive back to Delhi (around 5 hours). On arrival into Delhi we transfer you to your hotel.
