Day 1: Delhi
Welcome to India and the start of your holiday! You will be met at Delhi International Airport for your midday arrival and transfer you to your hotel. Remaining day free.
Day 2: Delhi
Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.
Day 3: Delhi - Varanasi
This morning we transfer you to airport to catch flight to Varanasi (SG 113 - 09:35 / 11:00) Arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel. Remaining day free
Day 4: Varanasi
This morning enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the many riverbank ghats (riverside steps). Day 5: Varanasi - Khajuraho
After breakfast we transfer you to the Airport for the Flight to Khajuraho (9w 723 - 12:00 / 13:10) Arrive Khajuraho and transfer to your hotel, later on enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Chandela Dynasty temples built between 950-1050 AD. Immortalised in stone, the carved temples depict Indian life a millennium ago, including erotic scenes from the Kama Sutra.
Day 6: Khajuraho - Agra
Today we drive to Jhansi train station to catch the train to Agra (Shatabdi Express - 18:00 / 20:30 Executive Ac Chair Car) Enroute visit to Orchha to explore the well preserved complex of palaces and temples it is famous for. Arrival and transfer to Hotel in Agra
Day 7: Agra
After breakfast we head out to view the magnificent Taj Mahal. Enjoy your own time to explore and a guided tour of this once powerful Moghul emperor’s monument to love. Later we visit Agra fort built under the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 that contains numerous palaces and a white marble mosque and the Baby Taj. Remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Day 8: Agra - Jaipur
This morning we will take a drive out to the ghostly fortifed city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandonded only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area continiuing on you will arrive in to Jaipur 'The Pink City'. In the afternoon enjoy some free time to relax.
Day 9: Jaipur
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant!Free afternoon-why you don't enhance your stay there by joining our optional city tour(see details in enhance your holiday section)
Day 11: Jaipur - Shahpura
Today we drive to Shapura Bagh, ideal place for stopover between Jaipur and Udaipur and explore India rural and village life, dare to say "real India".
Day 12: Shahpura
Day at leisure. Shahpura it is set in 30 acres of garden and pasture and surrounded by lakes it is a fantastic place to spend a day or two and simply go out for a wander in the village and interact with the friendly locals. Activities that can be arranged are picnics and barbecues in lovely remote places in the country nearby, cycling trips, fishing, boat trips, walking tours, bird watching walks around the lakes and hiking, visits to see traditional local artists at work.
Day 14: Udaipur
This morning enjoy touring the imposing City Palace, a vision in soft yellow stone on the northeast promontory with breathtaking views of the lake. The City Palace is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. We then take you to visit Jagdish Temple and Sahelion ki bari. You will have free time to explore on your own or perhaps shop for colourful Rajasthani arts and crafts.
Day 16: Udaipur - Delhi
This morning we transfer you to the Udaipur Airport for your flight do Delhi (9W 3301 - 0975:1015) Arrive Delhi and transfer to your hotel.
Day 17: Delhi
Today we transfer you to the airport accordingly to your international flight details.
