Day 1: Delhi

Welcome to the start of your voyage of discovery through 'Incredible India'! You will be met at Delhi International Airport by our friendly local team and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore or relax as you like.

Day 2: Delhi

This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque.

Day 3: Delhi

This morning we further enhance your exploration of this bustling city with an afternoon guided journey through the New Delhi area the highlights will include India gate a drive past parliamentary buildings and President's house, a guided visit to Humayun's tomb then concluding with sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub minar.

Day 4: Delhi - Amritsar

Early morning transfer to Delhi railway station to catch the express train to Amritsar. Arriving here our local team await to drive you to your hotel. This afternoon we'll drive to the final frontier, Wagah to watch the sunset changing of the guards and ceremonial lowering of the flags.

Day 5: Amritsar

This morning we enjoy a guided exploration of this incredible and vibrant city - including a visit to the Famous Golden Temple which is the seat of the Sikh religion and the Durgiana Temple we conclude with a sobering visit to the Jallianwala Bagh gardens which was the site of the Amritsar massacre that took place in 1919. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore as you wish.

Day 6: Amritsar - Agra

This morning you return on the express train to Delhi. Arriving here, our local team are on hand to drive you to Agra.

Day 7: Agra

Today enjoy a leisurely visit to the impressive Agra Fort, which boasts some of India's finest Mughal buildings behind its fortified walls.

Day 8: Agra - Jaipur

Early this morning we take a motorised buggy to the legendary Taj Mahal and witness a magical sunrise. Around 1pm we drive to Jaipur making one stop along the way to visit the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri. Arrive into Jaipur in the evening and relax at your hotel.

Day 9: Jaipur

This morning you will have to look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. This afternoon perhaps opt for a journey of discovery through the historic pink city of Jaipur we start with a photo stop in front of Jal mahal (lake palace) thereafter visit the ancient astronomical observatory of Jantar mantar and thereafter a guided tour of the city palace complex and its fascinating nooks and crannies. Day 10: Jaipur - Alsisar

Today, we drive to the semi-desert Shekhawati region. The small towns in this region became important trading posts, a lasting legacy of which are the beautiful painted havelis (mansions) constructed by wealthy merchants in the 18th and 19th centuries. Enjoy an afternoon village walk.

Day 11: Alsisar - Bikaner

Travelling west, our next stop is the 14th century desert town of Bikaner. Once an important staging post on the great caravan routes, much of the atmospheric old town which we will explore is still encircled by massive fortified walls. Within these walls are havelis, artisan shops and people going about their daily lives. We also visit the spectacular Junagarh Fort & museum, built between 1587 and 1593 during the rule of Rai Singh.

Day 12: Bikaner

Bikaner is well worth a bit of extra time without a shadow of doubt so enjoy a free morning to explore. This afternoon because you are missing out on Jaisalmer why not go on a desert safari all the same? Have a read of the Enhance Your Holiday page for info.

Day 13: Bikaner - Jodhpur

An interesting drive through increasingly varied scenery takes us to Jodhpur, a town at the edge of the mighty Thar Desert. Dominated by Meherangarh Fort which sits majestically atop a hill, Jodhpur is known as the Blue City. This is because of the coloured houses in the old town, painted indigo. We’ll enjoy some touring in this colourful Rajasthani city, taking in the mighty fort and bazaars of the old city which are gathered around the city’s tall clock tower.

Day 14: Jodhpur

Jodhpur has much to offer in terms of history and interesting nooks and crannies to explore. Perhaps you would like to visit and learn about the Bishnoi Ethic Group? Day 15: Jodhpur - Ranakpur

Leaving Jodhpur, we drive to Ranakpur, a small town tucked away in a remote valley and famed for its beautiful 14th century Jain temples. We’ll enjoy some exploration here and time to relax at our hotel.

Day 16: Ranakpur - Udaipur

Continuing south, we visit Kumbalgarh fort considered one of the best preserved in India. Shortly after we arrive at Udaipur. An oasis of cool, with its massive lake and Venetian-like appearance, Udaipur is one of the most romantic towns in Rajasthan. A favourite amongst travellers, Udaipur is crammed full of palaces and temples.

Day 17: Udaipur

Today we'll enjoy a cruise on Lake Pichola, plus touring of the imposing City Palace. For the remainder of the day you can enjoy free time to explore and perhaps shop for colourful Rajasthani souvenirs and Indian spices or perhaps you would like a visit to the Monsoon Palace? Day 18: Udaipur - Delhi

Departure transfer to the airport to board a morning flight to Delhi. After your arrival transfer the afternoon is free for you to relax at the hotel or to head out and further explore Delhi.
