Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.
An early morning start we will drive to Agra - home of India's famous attraction - the Taj Mahal. Upon arrival we will have a sightseeing tour to the Agra Fort, before watching the sun set on the Taj Mahal itself.
Today we rise early to see the Taj Mahal in its ethereal morning light - quite a contrast to sunset on our previous visit. Later today we take the drive back to Delhi and en route visit the tomb of Akbar at Sikandra. Emperor Akbar started the construction of this tomb himself, which was later completed by his son Jahangir. This beautiful tomb is a grand affair built in the Indo-Saracenic style with a variety of exquisite carvings and designs covering it. On arrival into Delhi we transfer you to your hotel.
We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Kathmandu. On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel.
Resembling a medieval city of temples, shrines and living gods, Kathmandu is Nepal’s biggest and most cosmopolitan city, a meeting place of a dozen ethnic groups and once one of the most important points on the caravan routes between Tibet and India. This morning you will enjoy a city tour of Kathmandu, which will include Swayambhunath, Kastha Mandap and Kumari Devi. An afternoon visit to Patan and Tibetan handicrafts centre.
Today we will transfer you to Chitwan National Park. Chitwan is hailed as one of Asia’s finest game parks and contains many animals including elephants and rhinos, sloth bears and striped hyenas. This afternoon you will have a jungle drive in the national park.
Widely acknowledged as one of the finest National Parks in Asia, Chitwan supports a population of a variety of species including Indian one horned rhino, bison, sloth bear, wild boar, deer, leopard and of course the magnificent, if elusive, Bengal tiger. This morning and evening we enjoy elephant back safari on the hunt to sight some of the many species of wildlife in the park.
Today we transfer you to Pokhara, gateway to the magnificent Annapurna Range, which consists of five mountains over 7200m including the Machhapuchare, which although falling short of 7000m, is one of the most extraordinary mountains due to its unique ‘fishtail’ peak. The local people believe it is sacred to the god Shiva and therefore is off limits to climbing. Upon arrival this afternoon, spend the rest of the day at leisure.
This morning we trek to visit the World peace stupa. This afternoon we will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Kathmandu. On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel. Free time to wander through Kathmandu.
