Varanasi is a city abundant with temples and labyrinthine streets. In the early morning enjoy a boat ride on the holy Ganges River, witnessing the locals bathing in the ghats. Later in the day we embark on a tour of India’s spiritual city. This evening consider re-visiting the ghats for the evening pilgrimage, a little different from the dawn ritual.
This morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Khajuraho (9W 2423, 1235/1325) where upon your arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for check in. Later this afternoon enjoy a sightseeing tour of Khajuraho's temples - the Chandela Dynasty temples built between 950-1050 AD. Immortalised in stone, the carved temples depict Indian life a millennium ago, including erotic scenes from the Kama Sutra.
Departing Khajuraho this morning we head to Bandhavgarh National Park where after check in you will be able to enjoy an afternoon game drive. Have those cameras at the ready!
The undulating terrain of the compact park is interspersed with rocky ranges, grassy swamps and forested valleys. The park claims to have the highest density of Bengal tiger in India. Enjoy two exciting game drives today in shared jeeps or Canters.

Upon your morning arrival into Agra you will be taken to your hotel where you can enjoy some leisure time, freshening up and relaxing after your overnight journey. Later this afternoon enjoy a guided tour of Agra Fort, a massive red sandstone Fort, set on the banks of the Yamuna River, and continue to the iconic Taj Mahal for an unforgettable sunset.
Departing Agra this morning we drive to Ranthambhore National Park, stopping at the ghostly fortified city of Fatehpur Skiri, abandoned only eight years after its construction due to droughts in the area. Arrive Ranthambhore National Park for hotel check in.
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the national park. Ranthambore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. The forests around the Ranthambore Fort were once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur.
Enjoy a final morning game drive in Ranthambhore before departing for the legendary Pink City of Jaipur. Hotel check in and remainder of the day at leisure.
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant! We then enjoy a city tour including the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire, and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
Enjoy a leisurely morning in Jaipur before departing for the noticeably blue city of Jodhpur. At the edge of the mighty Thar Desert, Jodhpur is known as the Blue City because of the coloured houses in the old town, painted indigo.
Today there'll be a half day sightseeing tour of the city, taking in the old city, which is surrounded by a 10km-long wall. In the old city are a tangle of streets and alleyways, bazaars and human traffic. Standing at the edge of the Thar Desert, the city is dominated by its massive fort, which sits atop a sheer rocky ridge right in the middle of the town. Meherangarh Fort, still run by the Maharaja of Jodhpur is an impressive sight. Later during free time, why not explore the Clock Tower markets, where you can bargain for spices, richly coloured Rajasthani textiles and ornaments.
Departing Jodhpur this morning we head to the romantic city of Udaipur - the very essence of what it is to be in Rajasthan. Upon arrival at your hotel you will have a free evening to wander on the shore of Lake Pichola and take in the fresh air of this desert oasis.
