Welcome to Kochi and the start of your India holiday with us. After you have passed through customs and bagage collection we will be there to meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
This morning a short drive from Kochi to Allepey brings you to the area where tommorow you board your house boat. The boat will cross shallow, palm-fringed lakes and cruise along peaceful canals where copra and cashews are loaded onto local boats. The on-board cook will prepare locally-inspired food. Relax, read and catch some sun as the boat plies it’s route.
Today you disembark and will be transferred to the airport in Kochi for your flight to Bangalore, and then you take a connecting flight to Goa. Here you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Sit back and relax here in this laid back coastal area of India, walk along palm fringed beaches looking for shells and watching the fishermen at work, or simply relax. No car at your disposal.
Today you will be transferred to Goa airport for your flight to Mumbai, and connecting flight to Jaipur. Here you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style atop an elephant! Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city. Rest of the evening is free and at your leisure.
After a relaxing breakfast we will head off to Agra home to of India's most famous monuments - the Taj Mahal. En route we will also pay a visit to the ghostly former Moghul city of Fatehpur Sikri - the fortified ghost city abandoned soon after its construction because of water shortages in the area. Arriving in Agra we visit the Agra Fort.
This morning you rise early to visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Enjoy your own time to explore and a guided tour of this once powerful Moghul emperor’s monument to love. Then we transfer you to Delhi by road, about 5 hours drive.
Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.
Today we bid you farewell and transfer you to the airport for your onward departing flight ( 2 travelling to Kolkata, and 4 continuing with us to Lucknow).
