Welcome to Chennai and the start of your India holiday with us. After you have passed through customs and baggage collection we will be there to meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
A morning tour of the city includes a visit to St George Fort, built in 1653 and St Mary’s Church, the oldest British church in India. We will transfer you to the railway station for the overnight train to Madurai - Pandian Express departing at 21:15 and arriving at 06:15.
Arrive Madurai early in the morning at 0615 hours. We will be there to meet you at the train station and we will transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day is free.
Madurai is a bustling city jam-packed with rickshawallas, pilgrims and traders and resembling a seemingly continuous bazaar. This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour. Highlights include the Sri Meenakshi Temple built in 1560 and the city’s busy bazaars. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore the city further.

This morning you will enjoy a tranquil boat ride, drift silently along the water's of Lake Periyar, spotting wild elephent herds and many of the varied wildlife the park has to offer.

Time to head onto Alleppey and check onto your houseboat - our driver will assist you with the check in.
Crewed by a poler to push the rice boat through the water, a distance of some 20 kms will be covered, during which time the boat will glide past colourful local villages. You'll disembark and we will drive you to Kumarakom and check you into the hotel.
We will drive you to Kochi and in the afternoon you will have a half day city tour. The touring today includes the visit to Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese for a local King in 1555 A.D. The famous Jew Street, a cul-de-sac leading to the beautiful Parsi Synagogue built in 1568. Fort Cochin streets are still graced with traces of Portuguese, Dutch & British colonial architecture, including a few old trading factories, the only ones still standing anywhere in the world.
