Welcome to India and the start of your adventure with On the Go Tours. Upon arrival we will be there to greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kolkata.
After a leisurely morning and hotel check out we will collect you from your hotel and transfer you to the airport for your 14:40 departure flight to Jaipur. Arriving at 16:55 we will be there to collect you and transfer you to your hotel in Jaipur.
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant. In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the city. Highlights include the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
This morning we will take a drive out to the ghostly fortified city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area. Continuing on you will arrive Agra. In the afternoon enjoy some free time to relax.
After breakfast we head out to view the magnificent Taj Mahal. Enjoy your own time to explore and a guided tour of this once powerful Moghul emperor’s monument to love. Later we visit Agra fort built under the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 that contains numerous palaces and a white marble mosque and the Baby Taj. Remainder of the day is at your leisure. Later in the evening we will transfer you to the railway station for your journey to Delhi. Arriving around 22:45 we will then transfer you to your hotel.
After a leisurely morning with some free time to explore independently, transfer to the airport for your 14:45 departure flight to Kochi. Arriving into Kochi at 19:10 we will collect you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Touring today includes a visit to Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese for a local king in 1555 A.D and the famous Jew Street - a cul-de-sac leading to the beautiful Parsi Synagogue built in 1568. A walking tour of Fort Cochin will take you through the streets still graced with traces of Portuguese, Dutch & British colonial architecture, including a few old trading factories, the only ones still standing anywhere in the world. After a rest in the afternoon we will take you to see a Kathakali dance performance - the traditional dance is dated back 400 Years.
This morning a short drive from Kochi to Allepey brings you to board your house boat. Sit back enjoy the cozy comfort of a moving boat and watch the countryside and ancient Champakulam church as the boat plies its course, tasting local Kuttanadan dishes on board.
Disembarking at Kumarakom, we will be waiting to transfer you to you lagoon retreat where the remainder of the day and tomorrow are free for you to enjoy at leisure.
Today marks the end of your adventure with On the Go Tours. After breakfast and hotel check out we will transfer you to the airport in Kochi for your onward departure flight.
