Day 1: Kolkata

Welcome to the start of your voyage of discovery through 'Incredible India'! You will be met at Kolkata International Airport by our friendly local team and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore or relax as you like.

Day 2: Kolkata

Enjoy a city sights tour including a visit to the imposing Victoria Memorial. Opened by the Prince of Wales in 1921, this vision in marble is often called the “Taj” of the British Raj. We also visit the New Market – a bazaar on Chowringhee Road, the stately Indian Museum founded in 1814 and the oldest and largest in India, St Paul’s Cathedral and the extraordinary Marble Palace which houses paintings by Rubens, Titian and Reynolds.

Day 3: Kolkata - Varanasi

This morning is entirely at your leisure to further explore the city. Later in the day we will transfer you back to the airport for your flight to Varanasi, considered India's most sacred city (FLIGHT TIME -15:05 / 16:50). Arriving here, meet our local driver who will assist you to your hotel.

Day 4: Varanasi

Enjoy a day exploring some of the fascinating historic temples in this vibrant city, including the Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore, we highly recommend visiting the riverside steps in the evening to witness the ceremonial worship of the river that takes place daily.

Day 5: Varanasi - Haridwar

Today we will transfer you back to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Arriving here, meet our driver who will be taking you on the drive to another of India's sacred cities called Haridwar (FLIGHT TIME - (0815 / 0940)

Day 6: Haridwar

Enjoy time with our guide for an in-depth tour of this sacred city. Highlights will include visiting the Ganges to see devotees taking bath, visiting some of the famous temples like Mansa Devi, Chandi temple.

Day 7: Haridwar

Today you will have short drive to Rishikesh. Known as the Yoga Capital of the World, Rishikesh is set on the banks of the Ganges and surrounded by gorgeous scenery and a world apart from the hustle and bustle of Haridwar. Spend the day all the places of interest with our expert local guide, returning in the evening to your hotel.

Day 8: Haridwar - Shimla

Stunning views await today on our 7 hour drive through the Himalayan foothills, to the former British colonial hill station of Shimla. Arriving here, relax at your hotel to recoup after the journey.


Day 9: Shimla

This morning with our guide, you Venture into the narrow streets, which fall steeply away from the ridge giving way to colourful bazaars and fine views of the surrounding valley and snow-capped peaks. We take a walk through 'The Mall' which is lined with stately English homes and the fortress like Viceregal Lodge. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore.

Day 10: Shimla

Today is simply free time for you to enjoy the town. If you did fancy a day of easy hiking in the gorgeous surrounding countryside, have a read of the Enhance Your Holiday page for info.

Day 11: Shimla - Amritsar

Today we descend from the lofty heights to the plains of India, and in particular the city of Chandigarh. From here, you will travel by express train to Amritsar. Arriving into Amritsar, our local driver is on hand to transfer you to your hotel. (TRAIN TIME -- 1725 / 2125- AC chair car)

Day 12: Amritsar

This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the historic Amritsar, including the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. This afternoon we'll drive to the final frontier, Wagah to watch the sunset changing of the guards and ceremonial lowering of the flags.

Day 13: Amritsar

Today is at your leisure to explore the city.

Day 14: Amritsar - Delhi

Today you will make way to the capital; Delhi. Transfers are organized both ends, by our trusty local team. (TRAIN TIME -- 1655 / 2305 – AC chair car)

Day 15: Delhi

After breakfast, enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque. This afternoon why not further enhance your exploration of this busting city with an afternoon guided journey through the New Delhi area the highlights will include India gate a drive past parliamentary buildings and President's house, a guided visit to Humayun's tomb then concluding with sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Site Qutub minar. Day 16: Delhi - Agra

Departing Delhi, we journey 5hrs to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. Arriving here, prepare to be amazed as our expert guide will take you for a guided tour of the iconic Taj Mahal, you will also have plenty of free time to wander around and see the romantic sunset.

Day 17: Agra - Jaipur

This morning we visit Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! Later, we depart by car and drive to the Pink City of Jaipur, but first a stop is made along the way to see the ghostly former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned due to lack of water.

Day 18: Jaipur

This morning you will have to look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. This afternoon perhaps opt for a journey of discovery through the historic pink city of Jaipur we start with a photo stop in front of Jal mahal (lake palace) thereafter visit the ancient astronomical observatory of Jantar mantar and thereafter a guided tour of the city palace complex and it’s fascinating nooks and crannies. Day 19: Jaipur

Enjoy today to explore Jaipur in your own time. You could always head out of the city and visit the nearby smaller and very interesting town of Tonk or even a visit to Sanganer Fort.

Day 20: Jaipur - Pushkar

A short drive is on the cards for today, after 2 hours we arriving into the holy city of Pushkar. Arriving here, enjoy the wonderful ambience at your leisure ancient temples abound so head out and have a wander.

Day 21: Pushkar - Udaipur

Today we will take a drive to Udaipur. Along the way, making two interesting stops to visit Ranakpur and its famous Jain temples then Kumbalgarh Fort, one of the most important forts in Rajasthan.

Day 22: Udaipur

This morning enjoy touring the largest palace complex in Rajasthan known as the City Palace, a vision in soft yellow stone on the northeast promontory with breathtaking views of the lake. After, we take you to visit the Jagdish Temple and Sahelion ki bari gardens before leaving you to your own devices this afternoon. This evening, enjoy a tranquil boat ride on Lake Pichola to see the city from a different perspective.

Day 23: Udaipur - Mumbai

At the break of dawn you will be taken to the airport for the flight to Mumbai. Here, meet with our trusty local driver who will take you to your hotel. (FLIGHT TIME -- 07:15 / 0830)

Day 24: Mumbai

Mumbai or Bombay, as it was formerly known - remains India’s city of dreams. Today we embark on a glittering city tour with a morning visit to the Gateway of India, a drive along Marine Drive and the stunning Victoria Terminus building.

Day 25: Mumbai

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
