Welcome to Delhi and the start of your voyage of discovery through 'Incredible India!' Take to the skies with a flight from Delhi to Kolkatta departing at 9.30pm. Arriving into Kolkatta at 11.30pm you will be met by our local representative and taken to your hotel.
Enjoy a sightseeing tour with our expert guide exploring this incredible city. Highlights will include a visit to the imposing Victoria Memorial, the Indian Museum, the Jain Temple and the Howrah bridge. Kolkata is also the home of Mother Teresa’s Ashram Home of Children which you will also visit today. A visit here can be an emotional and enlightening experience. Formerly known as Calcutta, India’s second-largest city is a fascinating east coast metropolis. For a spectacular view of the city, climb the Octherlony Monument (218 steps up). For a spot of shopping perhaps head to the Maidan (a market) and as in many large Indian cities, Kolkata has a fascinating train station, worth a visit even if you’re not taking a train.
You will be transferred to Kolkata airport for your flight to Delhi where you will begin your Taj Traveller group tour. Upon arrival in to Delhi you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check in. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
