Later in the afternoon we journey to the Pink City of Jaipur. En route we stop to visit the ghostly fortified city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned only eight years after its construction due to water drought.
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant. In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the city. Highlights include the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
After a leisurely breakfast we drive to Shahpura Bagh, a luxury property that provides an authentic home stay experience with the descendents of Shahpura royalty. The property offers a number of nature-based activities including bird watching and nature hikes. Spend the next two days doing as little or as much as you like.

The boat will cross shallow, palm-fringed lakes and cruise along peaceful canals where copra and cashews are loaded onto local boats. Relax, read and catch some sun as the boat plies its route.
