Enjoy a day excursion to Kanyakumari – Leaving from your hotel in Kovalam we drive to Kanyakumari here visit the two predominate temples of Swami and Vivekanand Memorial. When ready we return to your hotel in Kovalam.
Stroll for miles along white palm fringed sandy beaches, try sampling the local seafood and sipping cocktails on your sun lounger, it's the perfect way to unwind today.
Early morning we set out by car to Alleppey where you’ll board a traditional Keralan rice boat for a journey through the backwaters. The boat will cross shallow, palm-fringed lakes and cruise along peaceful canals where copra and cashews are loaded onto local boats. The on-board cook will prepare locally-inspired food. Relax, read and catch some sun as the boat plies it’s route.
After a sumptuous breakfast on board say goodbye to the chef and crew and we will drive you to Periyar National Park. After check in, enjoy an afternoon boat ride on public boat at Periyar National Park to view the wildlife.
This morning we pay a visit to the famed spice plantations of Kerala to see how they are grown and processed into what we buy from the supermarket at home. Afternoon we continue our journey on a scenic drive through the tropical hills to Munnar. Arrival, and relax at your hotel.
Today continuing the theme we visit the famous Tea Plantations of Kerala and see how your favourite cuppa is grown and processed. After, we head over to see the Mettupetty dam then return to your hotel for the night.
After a morning of leisure to enjoy the cool climate and stunning surroundings enjoy making our way back to the coast as we descend the hills down to Kochi. Arriving here the remainder of the evening is at your leisure.
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the town including the beautiful Parsi Synagogue built in 1568, the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese in 1555 and St Francis’ Church. A walking tour of Fort Cochin takes you through streets still graced with traces of Portuguese, Dutch and British colonial architecture. This evening enjoy a sunset cruise to view the Chinese fishing nets and city from the port.
