This morning we will pick you up from Hotel Trident in Kochi and drive to Munnar. After checking in to the hotel you will have the rest of the day at leisure.
Morning with our local guide you will visit a Tea Garden & Tea factory, seeing how the process works from growing to picking to processing what for most of us Brits is the preffered hot drink. Afternoon at your leisure to explore, wander and enjoy the gorgeous natural surroundings.
This morning we head to Peryiar NP. One of the largest and most visited wildlife sanctuary in the state of Kerala which occupies an area of 777 sq KM of lush green tropical forest of Cardamon Hills region of the Western Ghats. In addition to the elusive tiger, Periyar hosts a population of elephant, sambar beer, wild boar, guar. striped-necked mongoose, bison, antelope, monkeys and langur.
This morning after breakfast we will take you for a boat ride on lake Periyar, where you will get a close look at some of the wonderful wildlife on offer while in this peaceful setting. Later today we head to the spice plantation where we can see how some of the many spices are produced.
We set off early this morning to Alleppey. Later this afternoon, we board a simply furnished private rice-boat for a journey through the lush backwaters. Our private rice-boat takes us sedately along the enchanting palm-fringed backwaters, covering a distance of some 20 kms, during which time the boat glides past local villages and interesting scenes of everyday rural life. Watch a beautiful sunset over the backwaters and enjoy tasty meals (starting with a late lunch) prepared by the onboard chef using fresh local produce.
This morning after breakfast on board we head to Kovalam, upon arrival you will be checked into you hotel.
The remianing few days you are free for some much needed R&R.
Today we head back to Allepey to stay at the Lake Palace.

Today marks the end of our memorable journey. After breakfast we travel back to Kochi and transfer to the airport. Please note: flights from Kochi should depart after 2pm.
