Enjoy a city tour of Delhi including the Red Fort, Jama Masiji, Raj Ghat, India Gate, Rajpath, Humayuns Tomb, Qutab Minar and Shankars International Doll Museum.
Today we drive approx. 6 hours to Jaipur the capital of Rajasthan affectionately known as the Pink City. The remainder of the day will be free for you to relax.
Today take a stately elephant ride (subject to availability) to the 15th Century Amber Fort, after which enjoy a city tour of the City Palace, followed by a visit to the Jantar Mantar space observatory. Don’t miss the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) with its incredible façade of balconies.
Today we journey to Agra and enroute enjoy a visit to the deserted Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. The remainder of the day is free.
This morning we visit the mighty Taj Mahal. Possibly the most recognised of all India’s landmarks, the Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in the 16th century. Later, enjoy a visit to the colossal 15th century Agra Fort.
Today we will transfer you to the train station for your intercity train departing approx. 06:10 to Lucknow arriving approx. 11:45. Upon arrival into Lucknow we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free.
Enjoy a full day sightseeing tour in Lucknow including Asafi Mosque, Hussainabad Imambara, Lucknow Residency, Dilkhusha Palace, La Martiniere College, Picture Gallery, Clock Tower and Dhobi Ghat on river bank.
Today we will transfer you to the train station for your intercity train departing approx. 7am to Varanasi arriving approx. 13:30. Upon arrival enjoy a tour of Sarnath. Sarnath contains a number of Stupas, the first of which was erected by Emperor Ashok and it now is one of the biggest Buddhist ruins. This evening witness the Aarti ceremony on the Ganges.
Early this morning we enjoy a boat ride on the River Ganges to view the sunrise and the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the ghats (riverside steps). Enjoy a tour of the city, with its numerous temples and wonderful historic feel; with time later to relax.
This morning is free before we transfer you to the airport for your flight departing approx. 15:35 to Delhi arriving approx. 16:55. Upon arrival we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel for the evening.
Sadly your last day with us with your departure transfer to the airport. Your room is booked until 8pm for a late night departure so that you can freshen up before your onward flight.
